From the Manufacturer

The Fluke TL223 SureGrip Electrical Test Lead Set provides the convenience of attaching clips, hooks and grabbers, as needed. The TL223 set includes the following: AC220 SureGrip Alligator Clip Set, TP1 Slim-Reach Test Probes, and a TL224 SureGrip Silicone Test Lead Set. The red and black AC220 clips have a pair of small, insulated, nickel plated jaws with a blunt tip that grab round screw heads up to 9.5 mm. The red and black TP1 Slim-Reach Test Probes are designed for closely spaced or recessed terminals. The hard stainless steel probe tips with flat blade design hold securely in blade type electrical wall sockets. The Fluke TL224 SureGrip Silicone Insulated Test Leads provides the convenience of attaching clips, hooks and grabbers, as needed. The leads are 60-Inch (1.5 m) long, offer reinforced strain relief, and include banana jack terminations that allow a great variety of test lead configurations. The DMM test leads are one pair (red, black) of silicone insulated leads with a safety shroud and a right angle connector on one end and a straight connector on the other. The set has a 600 V CAT IV, 1000 V CAT III, 10 A rating and are UL listed. SureGrip accessories are designed to improve steadiness in slippery hands. Rubber overmolded surfaces and finger-hugging curves give the user a comfortable, reliable grip on the accessory so they can focus on making an accurate measurement. The Fluke TL223 SureGrip Electrical Test Lead Set is sold as one set per package. Designed for industrial, electrical, and electronic needs, the collections range from starter to master test lead selections. Because they are an integral part of the complete measurement system, worn or under-rated test leads can cause inaccurate readings and pose a serious shock or electrocution hazard if live wires are read as being de-energized. To avoid these risks, use the correct test probe for the application. Test leads are replaced on average every 18 months.

These are much better than the standard leads. The clip in probes make it so much easier to work on an electrical problems, and leads are super flexible. I’ll buy another set soon.

These are really nice probes that do the job. The insulation I believe is silicon which is ideal in this application; it's pliable but not slippery. The grippers are just the right size and grip strongly. The plug ends fit snugly, but are easy to insert and remove. There is always a question of price with Fluke. Their equipment and accessories aren't inexpensive. I have tired other test equipment and supplies and unfortunately one gets what one pays for. I say the leads seemed expensive, but I don't remember the price, but I do know they are ready to use, and I'll have confidence when I use them.

Superb products. The price seems high, but when you're dealing with industrial voltage, safety matters and rarely comes cheap! All easy to use and durable. The leads do in fact quickly show you when something has damaged the outer cover in a way that could cause a safety concern. The clips grasp many terminal and wire sizes/shapes very well. Get a set, you won't regret it.

Fluke always has outstanding products. I own the fluke 117, fluke 381, and fluke t-5 1000. These Leads are great. Very durable and has plenty of adapters for it. Again I'm not a fan of things made in China but I'll make an exception for Fluke.
