I purchased this system to replace the OEM system on my 2015 Silverado which had rusted through and was leaking. The install was easy and the quality of the parts seemed good. I like the sound but it is just a tick louder than I hoped, especially when towing. Definitely get yourself a new exhaust clamp since the old one was rusted on and had to be cut off.My complaints are that the pipes are showing surface rust after only three months of use, and the coating on the exhaust tip seems to be fading and falling off in spots. This was about half the price of some higher end cat back systems and maybe the longevity of the parts is the reason for that.

Sounds good easy to install but after only being on the truck for 5 months it’s rusted really bad wondering how long it will last.

I installed this on my 2017 crew cab z71. I bought this based on the American trucks YouTube install video, the video does the sound no justice at all. It is certainly a lot louder than I was expecting based on this video. It has a very nice deep rumble. On Flow masters sound scale it is in the upper 50% of their muffler line up on the sound side. Highly recommend. It took me 40 mins by myself with out a lift to install. I used a cutting wheel and made one cut behind the stock muffler and using the exhaust Ha he pliers it was easy to take the stock exhaust out.

Good quality clamps . Do your self a favor and order the clamp from y-pipe to the new pipe . My truck has pretty low miles but live in pa the bolt completely rusted . Moderate interior sound very little Drone , moderate exterior noise . easy install, factory removal prolly the hardest part.

Kit was easy to install. Actually easier than removing the factory exhaust when doing it without a hoist. Sound is deep and only slight noticeable in the cab at idle. Get on it and you can hear it (not loud enough to wake the neighborhood). Cruise and there is no drone.

So glad I decided to go with this exhaust! It made my truck sound like a truck now! It took an hour to take out my factory 2017 Silverado 1500 exhaust out (which I cut behind the axle because I was laying on the ground installing it) and install the new flowmaster system. Just make sure you buy a new clamp off the catalytic converter to connect the new pipe. Mine was completely rusted and wouldn't break loose so I had to cut it off and replace it, it was $17 at my local hardware store. It's also a great look.

Sounds great and was a very easy install on my 2014 Silverado. If you are going to install, check the stock V band clamp where the pipe hooks up after the cat because it needs reused. Mine was rusted so bad I just bought a new one for less than $15 at the local parts store. My original tailpipe was rusted and fell off, so I didn’t have to worry about it, and the full install with removing the old and putting the new on took maybe 30-45 minutes with 2 people.
