Instead of eggs, we used these for shrimp. A shrimp in each slot, a little garlic & butter, cheese on top, broil a bit and wow. Some garlic bread on the side to soak up the left-over butter in the cups and this is a great appetizer or part of a wine and cheese snack.A handle or two would be a welcome addition, pretty hot coming out from under the broiler.

I wanted an unpainted, plain, ceramic egg tray in which to put 12 colors of watercolor paint. These 6 & 6 different paints give me a very predictable pallet of grays and browns complimentary neutrals. I have been able to mark this ceramic tray with a Sharpe pen on opposite sides as A & (A) and so on through F & (F). So, A will be Pure Yellow and (A) will be Ultramarine Violet. These two will always give me the same color as my swatch. The only things that will differ are the amounts. This gives me greater and more predictable control over my neutrals. This ceramic egg tray is a lovely size; not too big or bulky. It has a nice thickness but isn't really heavy. Also, it is reasonably priced so it is affordable for this important job for me. If you are into art, I highly recommend this as valuable studio equipment.

I’m using this as a pallet for water colour paints. Ideal size to permit a good range of colours to be mixed. Nice white ceramic finish that shows up colours well and cleans easily.
