Cutting sticks are designed to help prolong the life of the paper cutter blade and allowing the blade to cleanly cut through all of the paper. The plastic used in a cutting stick is designed to take the force of the blade's impact while still maintaining structural integrity. Heavy-duty material can be flipped on each side and turned 180 degrees for a total of 8 usable positions before replacement.
