I used this to trigger my Godox flashes. It worked perfectly on my Canon AE1. Fun to use new tech with older cameras.

This was a Christmas gift for my son in law! He loved it and said it was exactly what he was asking for thru Elfster.

I got this to carry with me as a backup and possibly to use as a receiver to trigger AlienBee lights which use a different remote system. This one doesn't support HSS so if you need that look elsewhere.

Surprisingly effective and useful addition to the Godox line, it's like a simpler, entry-level version of the X1/X2/XPro/R2 controllers, at a lower price point.I bought it as a remote receiver trigger for my older non-Godox/Flashpoint flashes (Yongnuo's), and within 30 seconds of installing batteries I had it assigned to "my" channel and on the group I wanted. BOOM - it worked with my Godox/Flashpoint controller. But I was surprised that it can CONTROL Godox/Flashpoint flashes like the other controllers: you can set it to be the transmitter (master). Not only can it selectively trigger 1-5 remote groups of Godox/Flashpoint flashes and receivers, it can SET THEIR POWER LEVEL. This also has connections for cord-based flash sync, and a camera trigger port, so you can trigger your camera remotely. It is a little clunkier than the fancier controllers (triggers) in their lineup, so if you're going to use them regularly, I would recommend the higher-end versions for speed and convenience - they are very well done. This one also does NOT do HSS or TTL, which the other controllers do with appropriate flashes. But to bring a non-dedicated, "dumb" flash into the Godox/Flashpoint fold for this price? YES!(NOTE: if you have a dedicated flash, you should check out the Godox X1R dedicated receiver)

Perfect if you do not need or want to avoid TTL. Reliable firing.

Works great. Only problem is the tx/rx combined mode is hidden and not on the switch and it doesn’t come w a manual that explains that fact. You have to look it up. Once you enable it, the unit acts as both, and simultaneously fires both camera and flash

I was having white balance issues using the standard TTL version trigger, but now that I switched to this, WB is closer to dead-on.

Great trigger at a great price I shoot in manual mode so this was a no brainer.
