The shims included are not useable and are completely the wrong thickness and width. Machining of the clutch could be better. Would not recommend.

Clutch and pulley on my compressor was failing. Picked this up and so far pleased with its performance. The clutch activation is alittle noisy but that could just be my adjustments. Followed the Acura shop guide to the letter and 'almost' everything fit.Be aware, the C-clips appear to be too thick and wont fit into the groove correctly. Also the washers weren't the right size either, had to hunt down some of my own. Aside from that everything else fit perfectly.

The price was very good. The shins that come with it are totally useless. Had to make them, which wasted a lot of time, fitting and refitting until I finally got them the right thickness.

Can't beat price, only time will tell how it holds up.The included shims are garbage. They are wrong size (way oversized) and thickness. After installation with factory shim only, I almost had no clearance and it was rubbing against pulley. I had to use 3/8" stainless steel washer to get adequate clearance. Ended up a bit on high side > 0.020, but clutch engages fine. I have reused original snap rings, advise you to take them out carefully and do the same. You don't need puller, things come out and go back in using hammer and a block of wood. For anyone attempting this job on CR-V, I hope you have a lot of patience and time. This car was designed with absolutely no serviceability in mind. Nothing is easily accessible. From belt tensioner to compressor location, to connectors on top of compressor, to top bolts holding compressor, to snap rings that are impossible to get a hold of and get out to...well, you get the gist. Allow yourself plenty of time to do the job right. This clutch failure is a very well known and document issue on CRV, there is even TSB for it and Honda offered some extended warranty but for most of us that time has passed. It's a sh..y design location and this is basically wear and tear item. You will be doing this job again in another 30-60k miles.

This repaired my ac without having to buy a new compressor, so I can't leave a bad review, but I will never do this again. There is nothing complicated about the repair, but like many auto repairs, I struggled to find clearance to work. Both snap rings aggravated me, but my snap ring pliers wouldn't reach the one that holds the coil on. I ended up buying 6 different snap ring pliers and still none reached. I ended up grinding on a pair of Craftsman pliers so they would reach all the way back. Find a pair of long reach snap ring pliers if you're going to attempt this, good luck.

Clutch was hard to change without removing the compressor but it can be done. New clutch looks just like the old one. Shims that come with the kit are useless and you will need to figure out a way to shim the clutch face without using the ones in the kit.
