This is a beautiful bowl, but there is a small flaw in the glass . I would not give as s gift but Im using it and Im sure no one notices

This Fitz & Floyd Salad Bowl would have been such a beautiful piece of craftsmanship if it were not for the indentation imperfections in the bowl. There are a couple of "dents" within the bowl & they are very visible. Especially when the bowl is empty. I was going to display it in my China cabinet when not in use, but I think it will sit in the cupboard instead when not in use. Otherwise, the unique design of the rim is so whimsical & fun. The bowl would have been fun when taking it to a potluck or when bringing a dish to a party.

I had a sudden hankering to make a trifle, but realized I don't have any clear bowls, and half the fun of making/eating a trifle is being able to admire the layers in a transparent glass bowl. So, I ordered this bowl since it's not too huge, and it'll do nicely! The beaded decoration around the rim is a nice touch that sets it apart from a standard mixing bowl, and it'll make an attractive centerpiece for serving fruit salads as well as the trifle I'll be making this weekend. There's a slight flaw in the glass - nothing major, but it's a noticeable flat part an inch or so up from the base, it looks like a flexible plastic bowl would if somebody had poked it hard enough to leave a dent. However, that's just a cosmetic flaw, and the bowl is just fine for my needs. If I were giving it as a gift, I might not be so pleased.
