Bought this for my son to keep bike safe since our regular bike lock was cut. This one has really proved to be great. The design keeps the rain off of it at college so it won't rust. It is a very heavy chain, that some may not want to mess with, but for us it works great!

It has some weight to it but I don't see anyone breaking this, perfect for my son's ebike.

The quality of the lock itself looks good. That said, I was disappointed that the lock I received only measures 4.5 feet, far shorter than the advertised 5 feet. There is a note saying the chain can be slightly shorter because it is measured by hand, but 6 inches short???

I have no less than 3 options to secure my ebikes. Maybe overkill, but if this lock keeps my bikes, my bikes. It's all good. While this lock does not seem up to similar specs as the brand superman is afraid of. I use it in conjunction with that higher priced lock from that company I also own. I wanted this lock because I needed length without the super overpriced price.The only down side is the glaring white logo announcing this is lower priced China lock and chain. Wish these fake brands from China would stop tagging everything so boldly.

When we tour, I like to use one locking device to take care of both bikes. We have tried different solutions, but all had drawbacks. The combination of a U-lock and cable was good theoretically, but it was heavy and awkward in practice. A simple cable lock, if thick enough to deter thieves, is really bulky and hard to carry. For this year's tours, I wanted something that would keep the bikes safe but be easy to work with. This Firos chain lock is the best solution that I have found. Though necessarily heavy, it is extremely supple, so I can wrap the chain around the rack and seat post when moving rather than having to waste precious pannier or trunk bag space. I know that a professional thief could break through it, but the chain is heavy enough to make it a slow and noisy business. I also like the fact that this lock came with three keys, so my touring partner and I can each keep one, and still have one in reserve. Finally, this chain lock is a great value. It cost me half of what I had paid for some of the other locking devices.
