From the purchased item , I was very very disappointed with the company product for three reasons: 1/Tried to contact company several times(their online website and email messages - no answers) to get the manual of operations(not included in the box and on their support site impossible to get it) 2/ their micro HDMI connection head was bent itself and was built with strong quality material. I connected the camera monitor to GoPro 10 mod ico HDMI output, next day saw it connection head was bent.. 3/Sving image by their USB C( right side) didn't produce quality and accurate color images. I would not recemmend this product and I was not expected from this company and their products. I am very disappointed. Don't take my words for, experience yourself and write honestly the review.

1. Sends white noise via HDMI output (3.5mm audio out is good), I need clean HDMI out. Likely defective unit.2. It is a recorder -- I would prefer dedicated physical record button.3. The record button disappears (is hidden from the screen) too quickly.4. The record button is too small.5. Picture is clear, but colors lack saturation.Otherwise good monitor/recorder, will get a replacement.

This monitor is worth every dime if you have reasonable expectations. Who should buy this? Anyone who wants to bypass your digital camera's filming capacity (30 minutes!!) who does NOT want to spend $400-$700+ on one of the "better" recording monitors. If you need 4k buy a Ninja V. But if you're working from a budget and just dabbling in video, this is a good first recording monitor. The ability to save to a USB thumb drive, unplug and upload to another device is a great feature. Please note: you'll really have to tweak the settings to get even close to the colors of your camera screen. The option to apply LUTs via the recording monitor helps here, and I am still working my way through this bit of tech. Perhaps I will work with this recording monitor for a year and then upgrade to something like a Ninja or SmallHD...BUT ONLY IF I NEED TO. I am shooting as an enthusiast, not for Hollywood. For more experienced videographers and filmmakers, it's likely you will want something with a sharper visual quality in terms of your files. But, again, if you're just venturing into video OR you're a parent trying to support your teen's interest in filmmaking, this is ideal.
