This backpack isnt 12 inches. If it were a 10 inch notebook would fit. It’s cute but cant be used for school.

Review of Fast Forward Girls Mini Backpack - Hello Kitty Faux Leather Bag for Girls - 12" Elementary Kindergarten Prep School Bookbag, Hello Kitty Pink. Hello Kitty is super popular with my daughter and her classmates and this bag is an adorable bit of merchandise. It is the perfect size for essentials like a wallet, glasses, chapstick, etc., that might be required for an outing to the store or to visit friends. I only wish it had some inner pockets, as then I might be inclined to use it myself as a purse-replacement.

This pink mini Hello Kitty backpack is precious, I love the design! The Hello Kitty graphic is darling and the backpack itself is stylish, lightweight, and comfortable. It is the perfect size to use as an everyday backpack purse with plenty of storage for all your daily necessities.Pros: adorable officially licensed Hello Kitty design, stylish, lightweight, comfortable, soft, includes front pocket with snap closure strap, spacious for a mini sized backpack, zipper functions as it should with no catching or other issues, straps are comfortable and easy to adjust, backpack appears to be well made and durable, reasonably priced.Cons: the first thing I noticed is there is an odd, fairly strong chemical type smell to the backpack; while the backpack is nicely sized for a mini backpack, I do think it could be a bit on the small size for use as a school backpack, the outer pocket is nice and spacious, however I do think I would prefer a zippered pocket for storing small sized items to ensure they are nicely secured and do not fall out.All things considered, this is a darling Hello Kitty mini backpack that is reasonably priced, stylish, and spacious. I would definitely re-purchase and recommend this product!
