I ordered the Jackie-Mar Extra Large Floating Fish Basket in the Rubber 13 x 16 size for my husband since he is an acid fisherman. The netting is what the rubber/nylon varieties indicate. The rubbery one seems to be pretty nice, it tugged on it and it didn't really stretch or anything.There are little orange floats that are just zip tied on, which I think it a little tacky - to do it as an at-home fix, no worries, but to come from the manufacturer that way, seems a bit cheap. But this isn't a very expensive item anyways, so it's kind of a moot point.It folds down flat, so it is easy for him to take with him since he mostly only shore fishes and usually has to hike a bit to get to his favorite spots. He has a nice fishing tackle box backpack that can carry all his stuff and this just clips easily to that bag without adding bulk.

Received this today and while I haven’t used it yet, I have fished long enough to know that this is a good quality bait holder. First off, I like the rubberized net. Previous nets for me have been fabric and they would absorb water and stains. Because it took a while to dry off, they could get kind of nasty in the boat. Being rubberized should mitigate much of that and still be soft on the bait. The floats on the top are constructed of hollow plastic tubes and should last longer than the typical pool noodle. They are fastened using some small little zip ties that I don’t envision will last longer than, but when they die, I will re-zip tie with stronger ones. The size is perfect for hanging over the side of the boat for bait you want to keep alive overnight and would work as a large bait holder while wading … although due to the size, it may not be ideal in the shallows. The metal rings seem solid enough and I am hopeful they won’t corrode too quickly. In salt water, it’s just a matter of time, but these seem like they will last for a bit. Nice bait holder. As for the other items included, I guess they are fine. I might use the big net to store some snorkel equipment

This is a surprisingly good net combo.The floating basket is fantastic for kayak fishing or for dock fishing.The net material is very good if you get the rubberized version.Good closure systems.Included bag easily fits both nets.Both nets have a plastic loop on the bottom to add weights to keep them right side up in the water.Only things I'd like to see improvement on are a better rope with a quick connect or basic carabiner to easily attach it to your kayak. I'll probably throw the rope away and just add a leash system or some paracord and carabiners to make it easier to tow.

I used to use stringers made out of steel or nylon rope, but in the event, I didn't catch as many as would make a meal, then they would usually die and I'd have to take them home, clean, and freeze them until I had enough for a meal. Sometimes I'd use a bucket if I was on my pontoon boat and then release them if I didn't get enough. But you can't use a bucket on a Kayak or canoe. This floating fish bucket is lightweight, to begin with, and just floats right beside my kayak or even when I'm on one of my bigger boats. I can easily release the fish without harm if I decide to release them. You really can't go wrong with either of these 2 fishnet buckets. You can also store bait fish in them.
