This nailer is well worth the money have had a couple jams (probably operator error) very easy to clear the jam if it does happen

I had never used any Estwing products before. This was so well designed that I purchased an Estwing finish nailer as well. These are really nice quality. They don't feel cheap or chinsy. It has yet to jam. I did have a couple of nails not set completely but it was because I didn't apply enough force (too close to the wall.) I only have good things to say. The case is nice as well and stores the nails, instructions and flooring jack as well. Not a tool you need everyday, but when you need it, you want reliable.

Fast shipping and great price. Works well but I had to keep pulling the load sleeve to re set the nail clip to fire. If I didn’t it would miss fire.Yet to change the staple type to that could be the issue.

I bought two nailers one is this and the other one is bostitch, thank God I did before I started the project because this one even with a 3/4 baseplate for my 3/4 solid maple floor it didn't sit flat so it was useless. The bostitch with with 3/4 sat so perfect flush.

Love the nailer, works great. My only complaint is that it gives NO indication you've run out of nails. A strike without a nail sounds and feels exactly like a strike with a nail, so you have to keep your eye on what you have left in the clip. Otherwise it's great, and the included mallet is fantastic.

A small part broke on first use after five nail shots: a plastic nut which holds a pin in place on the nail magazine. It was easy fixed with piece of wire, but come on really?

I have no complaints. Its an estwing and they stuck to their roots as far as quality goes. It comes with the mallet which is of very high quality and the bag it comes with looks like it alone would cost $75...its incredibly well made and you can store so much more than just the nailer and mallet. Cant think of one thing I dont like. If it matters, I own a construction company and i USE my tools...Admittedly Im also a tool snob and this thing has me pretty happy.

From time to time I install hardwood floors in my home and have always rented the flooring nailer. This time I had several hundred feet of flooring to put down part time in the evening and the cost of 2 weeks rental would be comparable to buying this gun. It was excellent. Put down over 2000 nails and the only mis-feed was self induced due to a miss hit on the plunger. The gun is light, sturdy, easy to load (I used both Bostich and Dewalt flooring cleats with excellent results) and functioned flawlessly. It performed better than any of the expensive rental nailers I have used in the past. The base plate is easy to index and I didn't have a single face nail from slippage. It will discharge if you stand it and then knock it over but that is operator error and not a nailer flaw.

Overall I'm very satisfied with this nailer. I purchased it to replace an old nailer that kept breaking down and it has performed great. This nailer has plenty of power and I have had no issues with jamming. The weight of the nailer is another nice feature, it is incredibly light which helps a lot when you are running it for hours and hours.j The carry case is roomy with plenty of room for all the accessories and even a couple boxes of nails. One thing to beware of: there is no safety trigger and the nailer design makes it prone to tipping forward. When it tips forward, the nailer will shoot a nail across the floor! So far this has happened to me three or four times, no damage or injury, but it is something that you should watch out for.

I am a flooring contractor of 20 years and in that time have used the bostitch MIIIFS for the most part religiously. I decided to switch it up after my stapler recently quit working. At a savings of $130 bucks over the bostitch i thought I'd give it a try. The stapler/ nailer comes with exactly what's pictured and the case is a nice touch to keep everything in. I recently installed 700 feet of 3/4 oak with it and it performed very well. It has a very nice grip on it and plenty of power at 120psi on the compressor to pull in any unruly boards. And of course being that Estwing is known for hammers it comes with a nice mallet. I also like the fact that it comes with a 5 year warranty for peace of mind. Time will tell if I get as many years of service out of it as my bostitch but at the price point I would not overlook this nailer. Recommended!
