AEQ73209906 Refrigerator Ice Maker
The AEQ73209906 Refrigerator Ice Maker creates ice for your refrigerator. Using water from the inlet valve, the ice maker creates ice cubes that are ejected from the mold into the ice bucket. If an ice maker becomes old or worn out, it might need to be replaced. Your ice maker may need to be replaced if:
- The ice maker is no longer making ice
- The ice maker does not turn off

Looked up the part number on my old ice maker and ended up here. Stickers and everything looked just like the OEM that came with the fridge. LG fridge and it was erratically making ice and you'd have to hit the reset for it to wake up and get back to work, only for it to quit randomly again in an hour or a day.

Was very easy to replace just pay attention to the color plug. Bought a similar ice maker with yellow plug and that didn’t fit. This one with the red plug fit perfectly and has been working great for the past 2 months.

10.27.023...2021, LG 26cuft side by side...after 2 years the frig just stopped making ice... reset did not help... so repair tech said high probabilty (LG of this type) its the ice maker... new one appears to be an exact match to the one I am replacing .. installed wih a phillips head driver... (Look on you tube for instructions) took 1/2 hour... difficulty - beginner level...its making ice... I hope it outlasts the original. ...update 11.1.023..making ice like a banshee- time will tell

My ice maker that came with my LG refrigerator lasted just long enough to be out of warranty. This replacement ring great so far it makes ice a little faster than the old one. I will update this review if I have any problems with this ice maker.

Worked really well for about a month. Stopped making ice, so I pressed the reset button and started to make ice again. Now it doesn't make ice at all even after resetting it.
