The instructions tell you to turn the control knob all the way up. If you don't turn it all the way up the mat doesn't heat very well. Using the mat at the suggested setting has warped the plastic the mat is made of. Avoid this product unless you want to have to MacGyver a way to keep the mat flat while heating your resin in a mold. Too late for me to return mine. I found a glass cutting board to lay on top of it that is the only way I can get the flat surface I need to cure my resin art on.

I love this product it is so helpful in curing my resin projects. It's easy to clean after every use. It's also really easy to use just plug it in and set the timer then let it do It's thing. The size is okay it could be bigger.

Oh em gee! I absolutely love this thing. It cuts my time by like 2/3. I can put something on this mat, create something else and go back an hour or two later to do another layer. It’s incredible. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

If you are a resin worker, and are finding your product not curing properly, this product could be your GAME CHANGER. Not only did this mat help cut my cure time by days in many of my layered projects, I found that it gave a consistent temperature that my resin needed to cure.

Was super excited for this, poured my resin got everything set up, plugged in, turned it on.. it was hot for 2 minutes.. then went out.. just stopped working after that???Update to my review. The sellers reached out to me and offered me a new device. They were super kind and super helpful with any concerns i had. It was really above and beyond.

I want to give other buyers a bit of a non-technical lesson on epoxy cures to aid in their use of the product. Most people use some variant of a bisphenol A epoxy with an amine based hardener. If the system has a ratio of 1:1 Resin to Hardener, I add 1 or 2 percent more hardener. The tertiary amines that this ratio allows creates better cross link densities and stronger epoxies. This is common practice in curing thermoset urethanes but not in epoxies. I have no idea why.Epoxy never reaches 100% cross-link cure. It will reach between 90 and 95 percent in about 7 days. If one adds heat to mixed epoxies the cure time is halved for each 10C above ambient. It takes about 168 hours at 22C to cure. If you increase the temperature to 32C it takes 84 hours, to 42C 42 hours, 52C in 21 hours, 62 C 10.5 hours and 72 C down to 5.25 hours. This little set up can do that for you. I wouldn't recommend anything above 72C epoxy is sticky and a spill can cause nasty burns.I hope this helps.

I love this heated mat. I originally gave it 5 stars, but the timer stopped working after just 1 week.

I didn't actually note the size of the heat mat when I ordered it, but it works for the small items I make. Larger items, not so much. My clocks hang over the side and even though it's not very thick, it makes a difference. I also don't like that the piece that plugs into the mat, makes it lift on that end, making your resin flow to the opposite direction.Just make sure you have your mold set far enough away, or the plug part hanging over an edge.
