I'm a DIY car guy with five decades of mechanic work - and I mean deep stuff, not just "I change my own oil". So, I'm kind of a stickler for quality hoses, which for me has traditionally meant OEM or OEM equivalent from a US or European manufacturer.Naturally, I ordered this one with some reservation. (I was doing a radiator replacement on my E91, which for me always includes routine replacement of radiator hoses.) However, after examining and installing the hose, I must say that the fit and finish of this piece was impeccable.Observations:The rubber feels solid and substantial - not thin, or gummy and cheap like some imported hoses. The rubber hose section was thermo-formed and was visually an exact replication of the OEM part. The plastic formed pieces were dimensionally exact, contained a quality looking o-ring and spring style retaining clip. The primarly hose sealing bands appear to be stainless steel, and are of the same thickness and general build appearance as OEM. In my installation, there were no leaks, and no "almost fits" issues. Everything went exactly as expected in the hose changeout and the fit was perfect and exact the first time.It is hard to predict the service life of a hose, but I see no reason to expect that this upper radiator hose will be in any way inferior to the OEM unit - unless there is some hidden materials shortcut or flaw that is simply not observable to the naked eye.I give this a cautious five star rating. Materials quality appears OEM excellent. Fit of plastic was perfect. The moldings were crisp, clean, without flashings or defect, and the details of build were exact in every visible and measurable specification.I will report back if I experience problems over the coming months. I am betting that this brand new imported hose is better than my ten year old but still functional OEM hose. I hope I'm right. We shall see.

Ordered to replace similar hose from another non-oem manufacturer that started leaking after a few months. The hose appears to be made well and gaskets/seals seem to be of good quality. I plan to install the hose over the weekend, but it will be a few months until I find out if this hose is better than the one it is replacing.Price-wise, it is good value, about 60% less expensive that OEM hose, however, we all know that a cheapskate pays twice.Update after 3 months of use: Hose is leaking. Bottom seal holds coolant when cold, but leaks when hot/under pressure. Rating dropped to 2 stars.
