  • Crossmember Mount
  • Durability is superior for cars, trucks and SUVs; road salt, oil, and a host of other common under car contaminants will eventually destroy the rubber bushings on your vehicles, not to mention the weight and torque forces that typically compress rubber
  • Hyper-Flex replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently
  • Hyper-Flex is offered in a variety of durometers (firmness or softness), depending on product application; performance tested and race proven; used for all of Energy Suspension products that require a higher level of performance and durability
  • If you are modifying, building a new vehicle for scratch or restoring an old one, Energy Suspension's Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane should be the 'ground zero' focus of your present and next vehicle plans

Crossmember Mount

Ordered these for a 1997 Ranger 2.3l, RWD, Manual, as i was trying to replace the Transmission Crossmember Isolators. Can say that it did not work. But i made them work. Here's how.First i found that a rubber gasket from a 1 1/2" mechanical test plug made my Test Titan from Menards fit perfectly into the crossmember and then this rubber piece pushes in quite tight for a nice fit. Can see in the picture what I'm referring to.Then the brass piece of pipe also wasn't the right length. Which i measured and the dimensions were almost identical to a 1/2" copper type L pipe i had laying around. Then i measured in between the crossmember mount to find a size of ~4-3/8" which i cut the copper pipe at.With the rubbers inserted in the crossmember i still had about a 3/8" on each side to make up some space and used 4 Galvanized 5/8" washers and it was a perfect fit.Last i used grade 8, 1/2" bolt 5-1/2" long, with 1/2" washers and a 1/2" locknut. Tightened it all up and so far so good, was able to reuse the old crossmember. All in all, the test plugs were 4x$2.09=$8.36, washers 2x$3.49=6.98$, bolts 1x$4.48 (pack of 2), locknuts 2x$.99=$1.98, which comes out to be just under $22.Will see how it holds up but its definitely sturdier than what was there prior.
