About this item

  • AQUA DIVIDE: Low center divider allows pan handles to extend over center and makes it easy to wash large items, like baking sheets, over both bowls
  • SLIM RIM: Install sink as a top mount or undermount; ultra thin, flat rim virtually eliminates the barrier between sink and counter for a clean look
  • DOUBLE BOWLS OF EQUAL SIZE: Conveniently use bowls independently for washing, soaking, rinsing, drying and other household tasks
  • 18-GAUGE STAINLESS STEEL: Highest quality 18-gauge thickness and Type 304 stainless steel for lasting durability, performance and lustrous beauty
  • QUIET: Sound-deadening pad(s) minimizes sound and vibration for a quieter time at the sink
  • TIGHT CORNERS: Fresh, geometric design offers straight sidewalls and a flat bottom for a modern look and more usable space; easy to clean
  • U-CHANNEL INSTALLATION: Mounting clips placed inside the channel before installation mean less time under the sink for an easier install

The Elkay Crosstown collection offers a fresh take on the classic stainless steel sink, combining beauty, function and contemporary design. Tight corners and a flat bottom provide more space inside the sink bowl for stacking and cleaning dishes. The striking geometric shape makes a statement in any home.

This arrived on time and in perfect condition. The design is great with the lower bar in middle to allow washing cookie sheets. We love having two sides because we use one side to dry, saving us from having an ugly drying rack on the counter like we used to. The sink comes with nice racks for the bottom. Our sink isn't getting scratched. It looks modern and has upgraded our kitchen. We had an old Kohler cast iron. We did have to get our granite trimmed just a tiny bit for the new sink to drop in. This is a nice quality product.

Our Elkay Crosstown ECTSRA33229TBG4 Equal Double Bowl Dual Mount Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink Kit with Aqua Divide is awesome! This sink replaced our previous double bowl stainless sink that had a full height divider. We found cleaning larger items such as cookie sheets and casserole dishes in the old sink was problematic. We thought about getting a single bowl farmer type sink but really prefer having 2 bowls for most of the cleaning operations. This sink solved the problem. It also is a higher gauge material than the previous sink. Our sink came with 2 of the bottom grids. We shopped this sink through other sources and getting 2 was an add on cost. The sink is available for different faucet, spray, and dispenser hole quantities. The sink strainer baskets were sourced for us by our plumber. These were Kohler units which he personally uses and were much more substantial than any others we found. The faucet is an Oakland Brass 2 handle kitchen sink bridge style faucet with pull down sprayer.

Per ASTM A480/A480M-11b, the nominal thickness for 18 Ga. is specified at 0.050". Actual multiple locations measurements taken are between 0.042" and 0.043 on the Elkay sink I just bought. Those numbers place the thickness towards lower end of the tolerance for the thinner, lighter, 19 Ga... Not only is it NOT 18 Ga., it is barely 19 Ga. Is my calibrated Starret micrometer lying to me, or is something else going on?. If you had advertised it as 19 Ga., I would have bought it anyway because I like the style, but you are selling it as 18 Ga. and that seems a misrepresentation of the facts. If ASTM is wrong, please straighten them out, if it was made to a different Chinese standard , please say so in the description, and, if there is something I did not consider, please enlighten me. As a Certified Engineer for 20 years, and a First Class machinist for 30 years, I still learn new things now and then.Thank you

Firstly, I get that it's smart to use the thinner 18 gauge as a selling point and having a low lip for surface mount is good but, now I have this, I'd go with the 16 gauge. Firstly, I have another similar sink in 16 gauge and it's much tougher with zero flex/movement on the faucets and better sound proofing. The 18 gauge is much more flexible. My unit came with a slightly bent corner. It was easy to bend back by hand - that's how flexible it is.Secondly, be aware that the mounting rails go almost to the edge underneath so, if you're replacing a sink with a rounded edge bowl, you might run into the same issue I had. That being, the hole in the granite counter was cut with rounded edges not accommodating the edge to edge rail! Resolved by trimming down the rails but still a hassle - so double check your sink opening if you're doing a replacement, like I did. But, if you're looking for a sink with a low center divide, sharp corners but not too sharp where they're hard to clean, then this is a good sink.

While I love this sink and give it 5 stars, I am so disappointed because it was delivered while I was out of town and installed in my new kitchen. When I got home, I saw that the sink did not have the Aqua Divide feature. That feature was why I ordered the sink. I want to make sure that if you order this sink, check it. I know most people would, but when you're doing a renovation and have to be out of town, sometimes things don't work out the way you hope.
