When I opened the box, I gasped a little at the beautiful color of blue that these bowls are. They have a nice weight to them, and I love the texture of the ceramic. These are perfect for salads or pasta dishes. I don't think I would use them for soup because the sides aren't very deep, but that's not a showstopper at all for me. These are also nice for portion control.

I should have gone with my gut instinct and passed on these. These pasta bowls were not aesthetically pleasing to me, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped that it was due to the provided pictures.There is, technically, nothing wrong with these at all. They arrived well packaged and undamaged. They washed perfectly in the bottom rack of the dishwasher (way too heavy for all four on the top rack). And I am sure they will be fine to use in the microwave.For me, it is all about appearance, weight of the product, and the ease (or lack thereof) in storing these pasta bowls. They are too "squared off" for me. They look and feel more like planter drip trays than bowls. They take up too much room in my smaller-sized cupboards compared to my other set of pasta bowls. They are very heavy stoneware.I am going to keep these, but I am going to use them under potted plants, and this really seems like the better use for them.

These 4 stoneware pasta/food bowls are very heavy, ( hence the 4 star) which is no surprise, stoneware is, so if you’re looking for lightweight this is not for you. They have a soft dimpled texture on the inside, and they can be used for a number of different things, from serving to using them as dishes to eat from.

These bowls are absolutely gorgeous. I love the look and design of these and am always happy to serve/eat a meal with them.The blue is such a nice color and the gold edging is lovely. The size is large and it holds a decent amount. The edges are great and help my son be able to contain his food. I love the functionality of a plate with the edges of a bowl and this makes the best of both. Any food photos will look gorgeous in these! These are my favorite meal time accessories.

WOW are these pasta bowls beautiful!! The photos do not do them justice. They came packed very carefully and secure. At first glance out of the box you can instantly see and feel the high quality. They are very solid, sturdy bowls. Beautifully made! They look like something you'd find in a very high end restaurant. I've never had pasta bowls like this before so I'm extremely excited to use them for dinner parties! I believe these are an excellent value for the money, and you can't go wrong with them. Highly highly recommended!

I love stoneware kitchen items and these are no exception. The plates are excellent quality with a nice shiny glazed finish. I love the neutral color of them, they have a beautiful brown speckled color on a cream background. I'm not sure I would actually consider these bowls since the rim is fairly shallow but they are a nice size for dinner plates. They are quite heavy since they are stoneware so make sure you keep this in mind. I love that these are dishwasher and microwave safe for easy use and washing. They are also very easy to hand wash, anything stuck on wipes off very easily. These are made to last with non toxic materials so well worth the cost!

I'm not sure if I should call these bowls or plates... whatever they are called, they are versatile. Each piece is well made and has a smooth glossy surface. Nice stoneware weight. They are a nice size for plating salad and pasta. They can be used for breakfast for cereal and milk, and oatmeal. As a serving dish for small hot or cold appetizers, even as a large candy dish.Because stoneware is ovensafe with care, these bowls/plates could be used to bake and serve small quiches, pot pies, fruit pies, etc. If you are cooking for one or two persons, the size would be perfect for a meal. Very versatile addition to my dining dishes and baking sets.
