Designed to keep a round ball of yarn from rolling away when you tug the end while working. Made of heavy hardwood, with a smooth finish that will not snag the yarn. This particular bowl is a bit larger than the average, and will accommodate a full size skein of worsted weight yarn once the yarn is rewound into a ball. It is also an attractive piece of woodwork. Practical and beautiful both, and for a reasonable price as well.

I use this for pulling small cakes of yarn while knitting and crocheting all the time. The guide is perfectly smooth so not to catch and break the yarn. It resides on my coffee table in between helping me with projects.

I have a 15yo granddaughter that loves to crochet. She has quite a few projects going on. After rolling her yarn this yarn bowl makes it so easy to work without snags. The bowl is not heavy but sits and stays where it put. The size is good for 2-3 skeins depending on yarn. It’s smooth wood and attractive.

This is a great idea, very pretty displayed but is a bit small. I see you can get a couple different sizes and next time I will buit other than that yes its a great item at a great price...perfect gift item too
