DISAPPOINTED 100% with this jacket. The hanger portion of the jacket was ripped and had a hole in it. The jacket is so light that the stuffing is odd and does not feel that it fills the spaces it's supposed to. It's NOT warm at all!! Waste of money!

This jacket is thin and warm which is what I wanted but I regret purchasing it. There is a ridiculous amount of shedding. The feathers are poking through the jacket which makes it look cheap and causes my clothes to be covered in feathers. I have worn it for about a month. For the price, I expected better quality. I will not purchase another jacket like this.

When I opened the box and saw the color of this jacket and felt how soft and lightweight it was I was so happy. But trying it on I felt sad it was too small. It seems to be made for tall slim ladies, and I'm not either. At 5'1" & 125 lbs I feel that if I ordered a size up, the slender way it is cut, I don't think it would be comfortable. So it was (sadly) returned.

My normal size is 1X & the XXL fit perfectly. Looks nice with both jeans & dresses. It washes & dries beautifully & I have not noticed the shedding of down that others have mentioned in their reviews. Would definitely order again, it's a great jacket.

The only thing I want to add to this review is that it fits a little small. My wife is 120 and wears a Medium in this jacket. That to me to means it runs small. If you are a big girl, I'm not sure that XXL will fit, IMHO. XS is REALLY small, almost too small for a 100# lady. Down jackets are made to fit tight because of it's design and the way it works, eliminating deadspace between your body and the coat is the best way for down jackets to work to keep you warm. So if you're wearing sweaters or heavy clothes under your jacket, definitely get a size bigger. This jacket will keep you warm, probably down to zero even with a wind. Marmot is a great brand and well worth the money.

This is a very finely designed jacket. It's comfortable. It's lightweight. As a down jacket it's so comfortable to wear. It just folds around the body. Hardly know it's on. Nice and warm and this is EB's "light" jacket. You will need a wind breaker of some kind as it's not labeled as wind proof.Just in case you are worried that this jacket is not environmentally sound ... please read EB's statement about the care they took to create this jacket including certifying the down as sustainably "harvested" == my words NOT EB's. I would buy this jacket over again. Did I mention that it is very reasonably priced? You will be surprised.

PROS:* great color (muted/soft purple)* solid construction* very packable (drawstring bag included and conveniently attached to the hook at the back of the neck)* good fit* water resistant/repellant (not sure how much rain it could handle, but it did well for short intervals in the less-than-a-downpour rain* 2 zippered pockets on the outside (roomy but not too large, easy access) + 2 deep inside pockets (big enough for a phone, checkbook, passport, etc. and deep enough to feel secure about nothing falling out)CONS:*I would have liked it just a bit warmer. However, I understand that if it had more filling, it would be less compressible; so it's a trade-off. What worked best for me on chillier days was simply to wear multiple layers underneath. It's possible that there's a jacket out there that has all of the features I like about this one AND added warmth, but based on the research I did, none in this price range.FIT:I'm 5'6" and 110 lbs. I normally wear a S (4-6). Based on the reviews, I opted for a MEDIUM. At first I was sorry I did, because I thought that it looked too loose on me. But when I realized I needed to layer underneath, I was glad for the extra room. Personally, I hate it when outerwear feels too tight and constricting; the extra room allowed for both warmth and freedom of movement. And ultimately, feeling warm and comfortable caused me to not mind the slightly less form-fitting look.Sleeve length was just fine, and I liked where the jacket fit on the hip (not too long, not too short). All in all, given the price and the pros and cons above, and consider this a great value. There may be something out there that has all of these features plus the added warmth, but not in this price range, so I'm happy with this compromise.

This is a remarkable little jacket! I was looking for a transitional down jacket for weather that is slightly above and below freezing, but warm enough to not require a parka. I opted for Eddie Bauer because I have a parka (women’s “lodge” coat) that is so warm, comfy and well-made that it motivated me to stay with EB. This jacket is very light weight and would take up very little space if you were packing it. It is breathable in warmer temperatures, while also being surprisingly warm and wind resistant in cooler temperatures. You cannot find a better jacket for this price!
