I got this bike stand because I am constantly tinkering with my ebike and it is a very heavy bike, probably bordering on the maximum weight capacity of this work stand! Once I assembled the work stand, which - by the way, was VERY easy, the bike fit nicely in the clamp, the stand was very steady and not wobbly at all.The assembly instructions are printed on the box the stand comes in but there's only a few parts that need to be assembled so it's very intuitive and you'll have no problem putting it put together. It took me about 8 minutes but I always take my time and do not rush an assembly process because I detest having to take something apart and doing it over again. The clamp which holds your bike is strong and adjustable for the thickness of your bike, the legs are plenty long enough for stability and the stand is extendable, probably to a height greater than I would feel comfortable with, especially with a heavy bike like mine! Everything fit nicely, a testament to the overall good design and build quality and when not in use, the stand folds up neatly to a more compact state and is easily stored.I like that this stand allows you to swivel your bike and also to tilt it; the tilt function has a locking tab to hold the bike at the angle you want, a nice feature. There's also an included, plastic tool caddy which is mounted to the backside of the stand. One thing to be aware of, when you want to use the stand, you must lift your bike and place it in the clamp. This isn't a big deal with most bikes since they aren't very heavy but it can be a bit of an effort with ebikes which tend to be heavier than regular bikes. Here's some advice if you aren't aware, I actually used the same method to place my bike in the clamp as I do to load it into the back of my truck or my bike carrier. What I do is I get the bike close to where I'm wanting to load it - the clamp, bike carrier, etc. - then I hold and lock the rear brake, lift and tilt the front of the bike backwards (doing a wheelie!) and then you can place the center tube in the clamp and clamp it down. You may need to swivel and/or tilt the stand depending on the angle you need but this works well for me, just thought I'd mention it if it would help someone. My only wish was for his rack to have wheels on it so I could roll it around, that way I could leave my bike on it and could move it out of the way, especially in winter when I don't ride very often. I tried to slide it with my bike on it and believe me, it was a pretty good workout and not very fun!Overall, I am well-pleased with this stand and I think it is an excellent, well-made and designed product. This bike work stand isn't the cheapest out there but it's not the most expensive either and those others may not have the same great features, build quality or sturdiness. I will tell you this, I'd rather spend a few more dollars and get a quality stand such as this versus saving a few bucks and getting a less durable and stable one. As I said, my bike is heavy and I don't want it falling or tipping over, damaging anything. You won't go wrong nor be sorry with this one and it's going to last for many years; I highly recommend it!

I'm a silly goose, and tried to unfold one leg the wrong way at first, and the sliding clamp damaged the sticker label on the main pole. It is more obvious once you get the rubber feet installed properly. Most of the setup doesn't require tools. An allen key is necessary for attaching the bent neck section, but afterwards you can adjust the height without tools. The rubber jaws are held on with plastic pin, and c-clips. The plastic is not that tough, one of mine was already broke at the clip, but there are 4 per rubber jaw.The metal on this stand is all super sturdy. It has large rubber feet that fit well. They make a very stable triangle.I used the stand with my touring bike which I think is comparable to an e-bike without battery in weight, 38 lbs or so. I really had to tighten down on the leg clamp, or else it slipped, and the stand fell forward. The plastic cam lever doesn't feel like enough when you're clamping with that much force.I find the bike clamp mechanism a little awkward to set. Maybe a little easier if you clamp the top tube, but I prefer seat post. You kind of hold the bike up with one hand, try the clamp lever, adjust the nut, and try the clamp again. It does have a nice big lever handle so it can really hold the bike securely. It packs down pretty small. Good enough to stand in a corner. Removing the tool tray, and clamp helps if you're really limited on space. They both can be done without tools.

I really like the tool tray on this bike maintenance stand. The clamps on the legs and the height adjustment clamp are good once you get them tightened. The bike clamp is good if you're clamping the seat post, but if you need to clamp the top tube when there's not enough seat post exposed, then it's not grate as it doesn't adjust well to non-cylindrical tubes. The height adjustment tube is perfectly round which means that it can twist even when tightened, most stands have a grove or channel in them to keep them from rotating. But here's the critical design flaw, the tube that the bike clamp is mounted to is not bent enough to make it level with the ground. The result is that if you clamp a bike in, it doesn't sit strait up and down, it slants out toward you and makes it awkward to work on. The bike clamp also can only be rotated at -90, -45, 0, 45, 90 degrees, not a deal breaker, but not as nice as a more variable style. I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix the flaw, if I can, then maybe this stand will be worth keeping.

This thing is awesome! Yes, it's big and heavy. But you NEED that strength and weight. Very stable, very easy to use/adjust. Very smooth in use. There's a reason all the pro bike shops I've been in over the years have stands. This one is the "home" mechanic model but everything I need for may family "fleet" of bikes! Don't waste your time with other bike stands. This is the one. Holds my 100lb ebike up, no problem for weeks at a time even. It's very sturdy. They stand it self is light weight and folds up nicely. Very well thought out product.

This is a great bike stand. I first used it to assemble my kids new bike, but also have done maintenance to several steel framed vintage 26 inch mountain bikes and lighter ebikes with no problem. Assembly was easy with the included tools and once everything was tightened down I tested it with a 70 lb ebike, nothing moved even when I was doing some maintenance pushing and pulling. The clamp is one of the nicer ones I have seen, it holds a top tube or seat post really well.Given the heavy duty nature and what this is positioned in market against, It is a good price for what you are getting. I have a few cheaper bike stands over the years and have given most of those away, its a buy once and get something good situation.
