I have a small dog who has trouble navigating the 8" drop from the slider to the porch. I also have a blind senior dog who is sometimes skittish about stepping down from the entryway. I shopped for doggy ramps and wheelchair ramps, but they were either too high or too expensive. This Eagle ramp is perfect, or nearly perfect. It's the right height and it is both sturdy and lightweight, but the "lip" that rests on the threshold kept me from closing the slider door, and my dogs were slipping on the ramp as they climbed up. I wedged a concrete block against the wall and placed the lip on top of it, and pasted an anti-slip mat atop the ramp, so problems solved!

i like that it is lightweight so i can handle it, i like the handles for easier carrying around from spot to spot, works good for my husband's shower chair to go over the lip of the walk in shower.

The ramp is sturdy, light weight and a must have for curbs and raised thresholds up to 4" high. It proved so valuable that the professional movers ended up using it to limit the number of heavy items that had to be lifted and carried into the house by hand. I also got it for my octogenarian father who uses it as a portable ramp to get into out of the house. It is a versatile piece of equipment that stows out of the way, easily. Shop around for the best price under $100.

Works just as you'd expect and is very sturdy. My wife's only complaint was that it wasn't offered in a different color, but I can't really knock a star off for that considering it does exactly what we need it to do for a reasonable price.

I chose this ramp hoping that it would assist me with getting a wheelchair to go up steps....my mistake...it was wide enough for the wheelchair, but too short and steep for the transfer. The ramp itself is sturdy, light-weight, and would most likely be fine for other purposes. Amazon was great with correcting my mistake. I absolutely count on Amazon for excellent service and have been quite satisfied with my many shopping experiences with this site.

The width is not wide enough for a 3-wheeled or 4-wheeled walker, but at least with a 3-wheeled, you could semi-close it to walk up. That being stated, the incline is too steep for a senior to walk up, and the ramp comes to a slight "v" from the center outward to each side, thus making it wobble and not sturdy for someone to walk up. The concept is great and the price affordable, but for the use I intended on having it for, it was a complete flop. Upon ordering, nothing was stated that this item is "non-refundable", so when I contacted Amazon.com about my dilemma and being upset that I would have to eat the cost of these ramps (I bought 2!), they promptly refunded my $ and told me I could donate or dispose of these if I wished, but not to send them back. Kudos to Amazon.com! These ramps may be sturdy enough for moving furniture over thresholds, etc., but can't use for walkers, wheelchairs, or anything for a handicapped person. Too dangerous!

Upon opening the package I was very please with the sturdiness of this ramp. But after testing it in my doorway,my opinion changed. When weight is applied to this particular ramp, it slides on smooth surfaces. This is not safe to use on smooth surfaces without being anchored. In addition there is a little hump at the top of the ramp which makes for another obstacle. I'm going to give the Prairie View Industries TH2432 Threshold Ramp, 24 in x 32 a shot. I'll report back.

I bought this for my daughter who uses a gait trainer to walk. We put this going into our garage to make it easier for her to get into our van. The product is great! It has great tread on it to help her get traction when going up it and it's not too steep to allow her to fall backward or roll forward too fast. Not to mention it's really lightweight so it's super easy to pick up and move out of the way if we don't want it there or need to move it to another entry way. This ramp is great!
