CORRESPOND A MA COMMANDE

Früher ein zufriedener Nutzer des LabelWrites 400 Turbo stellte ich nach Wechsel auf einen Windows 11 Rechner fest, dass der Drucker zwar vom Windows erkannt wird, aber die neue Labelprint-Software "Dymo Connect" nicht mehr mit dem alten Drucker kommuniziert. Hier wird mein bisheriger Drucker softwareseitig einfach ausgesteuert und ich fühle mich dazu genötigt, mir für ca. 150 EUR das vergleichbare Nachfolgegerät kaufen zu müssen.Stellt sich ein Unternehmen so Nachhaltigkeit vor? Funktionstüchtige Geräte auf dem Müll schmeißen zu müssen? Ich zitiere dazu mal - Stand heute - von der Dymo Webseite: "...Wir setzen uns für die Optimierung Ihrer Effizienz ein und zugleich investieren wir in Nachhaltigkeit – Etikett für Etikett... Im Zuge dieser Initiative verfügt DYMO® über ein engagiertes Team, das danach strebt, jeden Tag nachhaltiger zu werden..."Ich habe dann also in den sauren Apfel der Neuinvestition gebissen, weil ich ja auch noch reichlich alte Etiketten liegen hatte... Nach Ankunft des Druckers stellte ich erstmal fest, dass ich meinen Bestand an vorhandenen Etiketten auch gleich noch entsorgen darf "Etikett für Etikett". Sehr nachhaltig muss ich sagen! In meinem Fall nochmal ca. 100 EUR futsch.Also habe ich dazu noch die neuen Etiketten gekauft und wollte nun endlich an die Arbeit. Jetzt stelle ich fest, dass die neue Software Dymo Connect zum Vorgänger eine für mich enorm wichtige Einschränkung des Funktionsumfanges aufweist. Fast jedes Etikett, was ich drucke, weist unterschiedliche Schriftstile (Normal, Fett, Kursiv) oder unterschiedliche Schriftgrößen auf. Diese konnte man bislang auch innerhalb eines Testfeldes einfach auswählen.Die neue Software bietet diese Möglichkeit nicht mehr! Zitat Dymo Userguide: "Wenn Sie den Text in Ihrem Etikett mit verschiedenen Stilen versehen möchten, müssen Sie für jeden Stil ein separates Textobjekt hinzufügen."Das kann doch nicht Euer Ernst sein, oder!? Will ich ein Etikett mit Textfeld drucken, wo ich mal schnell was fett hervorheben, unterstreichen oder in größer bzw. kleiner darstellen möchte, muss ich mir das Layout mühsam aus unterschiedlichen Textfeldern zusammenbasteln? Das dauert um ein Vielfaches so lange wie bisher. Das muss dann wohl nach der erwähnten "Nachhaltigkeit" der Teil mit der "Effizienz" für mich sein. Für mich dadurch nahezu unbrauchbar!Nun habe ich hier für mehrere Hundert Euro zwei Drucker und diverse Etiketten liegen, mit den ich für meine Arbeit - mit dem einen, der noch funktionierte gar nichts mehr - und mit dem anderen, den ich mir leider nachgekauft habe, so gut wie gar nichts anfangen kann.Liebes DYMO-Team: Das war meine schlechteste User-Experience, die ich je erlebt habe. Ich bereue den Kauf sehr! Und ich möchte Euer Unternehmen trotz der gebotenen "Nachhaltigkeit" und "Effizienz" auch auch nicht mehr weiter unterstützen. Das war definitiv das letzte Dymo-Produkt, was ich gekauft habe!

This product is a total scam. We have our own labels made for our DYMO 450 printers and it saves us enough compared to the cost of Dymo's proprietary labels to purchase four of five new Dymo 450 printers with each label order. Dymo has put an RFID chip in their proprietary labels for the 550 printer so you can only buy labels that they produce at a ridiculously expensive price. When I told their technical support that I was using non-Dymo labels in my Dymo 450 printers, they said that it would "void the warranty". They didn't seem to care that I could buy multiple new printers with the savings and that I cared not for the warranty.

Étiquettes trop onéreuses.Par contre, la qualité est au rendez vous, celles ci résistent bien dans un entrepôt non chauffé, parfois humique. Nous permet d’imprimer des codes barres pour une activité de magasinage de produit du bâtiment.

I accidentally bought this thinking it was the 450 Turbo. The 450 Turbo lets you use whatever labels you want. This was the 550 Turbo though, which seems identical except that it only lets you print with "Authentic Dymo Labels". If Dymo chooses to not sell a size or style of label, then you won't be able to print with them. If Dymo chooses to charge 10x as much as its competitors for labels (which it already does), you won't have a choice of which labels to use. Please don't reward Dymo for such practices, and let their customer service know you won't be purchasing Dymo-anything until they stop forcing their customers to only buy their labels!

The 450 was fabulous - period. The 550 is a ploy to force users to buy Dymo only labels... OK fine they want to make money, OK cool - but those dont work either. A label or two pops out and then it wants Dymo brand labels only, but it already has a belly full of them... I fought the 550s long enough, no more Dymos. Dymo doesnt care either, buy it and enjoy your new paperweight.

We use as a pharmacy label printer at a veterinary clinic. You can buy a Dymo label roll , unroll it, peel the circular metallic label off of the roll cardboard, attach it to the side of the printer adjacent to the center of the label roll inside and trick the device to think you have Dymo labels loaded. BUT what a pain and when we changed the roll out to see if the same circle tag would work, we had to play with the settings in the Dymo label app.Baloney. I’m sending it back and buying a used 450 Turbo (no longer made). Dymo- fix this. You have a great printer for vet clinics but you have screwed us on the new model. The labels can’t coat $25 per roll of 100 - not affordable for anyone running a small business.

Dymo has added Digital Rights Management (DRM) to this printer so that it requires Dymo-branded labels - and not just any Dymo-branded labels, but new ones with a chip embedded. No other labels will work. Of course, Dymo-branded labels come with a premium price. And even further, Dymo intentionally replaced the entry for their previous model, the 450 (which had no DRM) with the new 550 model, so that the 550 would "inherit" all of the positive reviews of the old model, rather than creating a new listing for the 550. This incredibly shady, dishonest, greedy, anti-consumer behavior should not be rewarded. It should not even be allowed on Amazon.
