Product Description

carbon fiber bows 2.1

As we know, when musicians travel around the world, the wood of a traditional bow is easily affected by humidity and temperature.

The advent of carbon fiber bows solved this problem. JYR carbon fiber bows are made from synthetic fiber containing 45% carbon, which makes them lightweight but sturdy, capable of competing with wooden bows.

Wonderfully well-balanced strong arch delivers a rich sound and great bounce, very durable and long-lasting. whether you're a beginner or an intermediate player. This is an ideal as a practice and back-up bow.

This bow is sized correctly to use with a 4/4 (full size) violin. It is not meant to be used with a smaller youth sized violin (such as 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4, etc.) as it's too long. It does not come pre-rosined, so you will need plenty of rosin before you get started playing, or else your bow will not grip and will just slide around. It feels like genuine horsehair and not synthetic. It it very lightweight (expected with the carbon) - good for beginner to intermediate players, but too lightweight for more advanced violinists. The color is black so may not match your violin unless you have a black one. The abalone slide is very beautiful and the grip is comfortable. I am a concertmaster and use a much more expensive bow that is more responsive, but I got this one for my son to use as he's at an lower intermediate level and just getting into the full 4/4 size. It is also a nice bow to have in your case as an emergency back-up.
