Over my 50 years of almost daily sewing, I have used other elastics for other non-clothing sewn projects, but for waistbands in pants, skirts, etc, this is top quality. I've repeatedly bought Dritz elastic for time/labor intensive clothing projects. It is soft against skin, the rubber lasts longer, machine needle glides through without snagging, sews up without problems, has a maximum stretch length at about twice the cut length. For every 8 inches of waist size you'd use about 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inches of this wide elastic, any less would be too tight and would cause the elastic to wear out faster.This is the one, the only one I will use in clothing for repair mending or in new clothes construction. Dritz is the ritz.I'm thinking of using Dritz 3/4 inch wide elastic on the edges of my resewn fitted sheets which I modify for a 6 inch mattress because those sheets are hard to find to buy. I like tight sheets without wrinkles.Excellent elastic.

this is different than other sewing elastic - it’s soft to the touch but still firm - very comfortable in the linen pants i put it into - i’ll definitely buy it again

I was so happy to receive this so quickly and it is an excellent product BUT it arrived filthy. I’m soo disappointed because I will have use this and normally would have asked for a replacement BUT I just don’t have time. Disappointed.

I sew a lot of skirts and clothing (traditional indigenous regalia). This elastic is the only one I will ever use to waistband and have a lot of happy customers with this elastic! It's super stretchy and comfortable, and so soft.

It’s elastic so…….what could go wrong? It is a good price compared to craft stores pricing & nice & white not dingy white and serves purpose.
