Our "soil" is a red clay filled with small river stone. In the dry season, it is as hard as concrete. In the wet season, it is a gooey mess. We live in the country with several acres that gets covered in every kind of weed and sticker that exists. We put a couple cinder blocks on this, hooked it to the back of a small tractor and used it to drag some of the pasture that needed to be cleared of weeds. For this purpose, it works great. It managed to skid across the top of that bumpy, hard soil pulling the weeds and stickers out without issue.For us, we will not use this to drag our gravel driveway. While it might work, the implement we have for our tractor is far heavier than this device.

The harrow is heavy duty and came with all of the parts needed to assemble easily. I use it with my lawn tractor and with the cement blocks added, it has made smoothing my gravel driveway a breeze. It also worked to smooth the lawn which is always lumpy after the snow is gone. Great tool for yard work.

Seems to be constructed well. I used with only about 40 lbs or so. I need to get concrete blocks for which it is designed. I used this to level and top dress my lawn. It really worked well pulled it with my 4 wheeler but a zero or riding mower could easily work as well.

Just received this drag harrow. When I opened the box the corners and sides were bent up pretty good. I'm sure this will make adding blocks difficult. I will update my review once I start on my yard. Not crazy happy with it so far.

This worked perfectly for leveling land to plant grass seed. It saved me many hours of raking. Worth every penny.

For the most part this is a decently made tool. It took me a while to even try it as we've had so much rain here this spring. I tried it by itself and would say in a sandy looser soil it would work great. I have a somewhat harder soil with some roots involved. I ended up strapping a couple of concrete blocks on top and it works really well now. It's durable enough but depending on how hard your dirt is or how dense you may need that extra weight.
