Once your toddler gets big enough (1 year of older) and they are ready to go through the bottle quicker - i recommend switching to the #4. The smaller ones will causing your kiddo to work harder and getting away from the binky or bottle at this age is usually what we want to get away from. I feel like the bigger nipple size #4 helps prepare them for the normal flow of what it would feel like drinking from a sippy cup or something related when they start learning to drink on their own.

We and our baby love these nipples. He's a hungry one-year old and had started ripping open his other nipples, to make the hole bigger. We got the hint! He only likes Dr Brown's nipples; the plastic is tasteless, easy to wash, and they're good value for money. They arrived quickly and can be used on all standard bottles. Terrific to have bags of multiples, too, so you don't have to search about for one when you need it.

We purchased these bottle nipples to accommodate bottle feeding with cereal. We actually like these better than the other 9+mo nipples because they don't leak if the bottle is tipped over. We started using these at 12mo but I with we used them sooner. My daughter seemed to better regulate her intake with these than the other ones.NOTE: We strictly use Dr Browns bottles

My daughter has only used Dr Brown’s bottles and nipples. The quality of these are no different than others. Hold up well. They do flow very fast, so be warned if your baby is a bottle-tosser (like mine), milk IS going to leak out
