My spiders love these cacoons! They are the perfect size and the quality is very good.

We keep a couple of Bold Jumping Spiders in our house now and have had other jumping spiders as pets. We occasionally watch videos and often see these little cocoon huts being used. These little natural silk cocoon huts are more often sold as natural facial cleaning tool for anywhere from $15-$20 for 100 of them. If you search AZ for "silk cocoons face cleaning" or similar, you'll find them. Or you can find them for higher prices by searching as spider/small insect homes, and they'll come with magnets and other accessories. The cocoons are soft but semi-rigid. They bend without much pressure but easily retake their original shape, and the walls are soft and silky. The breeding box is just a little plastic ventilated cube with a removable top and a small hinged lid. The magnets are suitably small and suitably strong. They made it easy to place multiple of these cocoons in each habitat. We just put one magnet in the cocoon, it doesn't have to be perfect, and stick a fingertip in the opening. Put it where we want in the habitat, and put another magnet on the outside, and then the magnets do the work. We'll have to see if our jumpers take to them. Our fatter wild-caught female(?) likes to build multiple similar "nests" that are relatively big and thick, similar to these cocoons. Our older bred male(?) likes to build lightweight, see-through hammocks from which he has constant 360-degree observation of his habitat.I think $9.99 for 12 of the cocoons, plus the 24 magnets and a little breeding box (which we won't use), is a reasonably fair price. Other offerings had fewer cocoons and different accessories we didn't need. However, if you already have some small magnets sitting around and maybe want some spider huts AND try some natural cocoon facial cleansing, maybe go for the bulk packs that are only a few bucks more.

These came disgusting, stained and have metal pieces all in them! Which I discovered when placing the magnets as all the metal shaving clung to the magnets. Smh. Don’t buy these !!

My spiders love these! Easy to glue magnet on inside so it won’t rust when misting enclosure. Three of my jumping spiders have used them with out any prompt by me. Hammocks spun inside. It’s been great and they are inexpensive enough to toss and replace as the package is plentiful. Various sizes too- so be aware when you order that they vary in extra small to medium sized.
