I bought this on 1/6/2023. Today is 1/5/2025. I never replaced the grass. After 2 years, it's still going strong and my dogs are still using it. Here is a photo of it being used today. For reference, the size of the product is 20x25 inches and my dog in this picture is 10 pounds.

The platform is too high and the grass is too stiff. The dog does not like the texture

Absolute must have for anyone who lives in a condo or apartment and doesn’t want to have to go up and down the elevators all day. Good quality easy to empty and clean when full, you just pull out the slider tray and dump it in the toilet. This product definitely handles urine a lot better than solid dog waste aka poo. It’s hard to clean up off the turf and will end up smelling so if you can train your dog to only use it to pee on is perfect. Every once in a while I take it downstairs and hit it with the pressure washer to do a deep clean of the turf and get all the waste off.

This is a good concept but there are many improvements needed. My pup used this once a day for a week, each time we cleaned it with water and emptied the tray. It is rancid. I couldn’t stand the smell, I think my neighbours could prob smell it. I went to Canadian tire and picked up artificial terf for MUCH cheaper and now it doesn’t smell. Also the drainage doesn’t work as it’s not on an angle enough to drain. So the pee just sits if you don’t clean it. Honestly waste of my $$

I live on the top floor of a tower and having to take my dog out at 1am is a pain. With this, he goes out to the balcony, does his business and comes back to bed. Cleaning is easy: the tray pulls out and is easy to wash and I dump a bucket of hot water on the pad and then spray it with a urine destroyer product. The only complaint would be that the grass pad is somewhat more absorbent than I would like….some of the urine soaks into it but it gets rinsed with the water. No odour thus far (I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now) but I attribute that to the spray. Overall, good product for apartment pets.

I can't say enough good things about this potty patch system. I've used other tray and grass systems but wanted better drainage. The way this tray is sloped and the reservoir that captures liquids does just that. It's easy to clean and my guys (Chihuahua+ 6lb and 10lb) both use it. The smallest likes to lift his leg, and he loves (as do I, lol) the little backsplash. Plus it's easy to clean and very durable. I've had it a few months and just purchased replacement grass (it arrives tomorrow). I would recommend getting a extra replacement grass if you plan to purchase this. As others suggested, you can use one while the other is cleaned and dries. I keep it outside on my porch for when they can't (or wont) go out into the yard to potty. P.S. to the person that suggested cutting a potty pad to fit inside the reservoir, big thanks, you rock. That tip made this perfect.

Great solution for potty training/no grass backyards! We’ve tried training our puppy to “go” on real grass laid out in boot mats on our deck and it was really hit and miss, but this she goes to 99% of the time! Easy to clean (yes, it does get a bit stinky in the summer heat) and decent size overall for a smaller breed dog. It’s a bit pricey, but compared to others it’s not bad, as all these alternatives seem to be a bit expensive. Quality seems decent too and so far we haven’t had any issues with our puppy chewing it etc. as other have mentioned. For us this is working and we will definitely buy extra “grass” to replace what’s in the box every 4-6 months as recommended.

It is pretty silly to assume that a puppy will not immediately tear up a product like this. There should be some way to stabilize the grass in the holder. We immediately drilled holes and put zip ties but this seems to be a design flaw. A puppy has so far peed everywhere except for on this but I think with a little bit of attractant and guidance she will do fine with it. We plan on using kitty litter in the bottom to soak up the urine.

I like the size of the potty for a small dog. The dumping pan is small and difficult to dump out without spilling. It bends so it must be held with two hands. It smells very bad especially if it is not dumped immediately after use. The problem is you can’t dump it until the pee drains into the pan. We bought 2 extra cleaners and anti bacterial sprays from Bubbas that didn’t work. Now we are letting the dog pee and spraying the spot about 10 sprays and then when she has to pee again we make her wait until we can dump the pan and spray the pan again. It still smells. My dog used litter, the piddle place and now this one and even though the litter was messy I have to say it is the least smelly! We are now using Bubbas extreme and it still smells.

I purchased this for my 10 month old miniature Goldendoodle (24 lbs). She is already potty trained to the grass, so I wasn't sure if she would like (or know how to use) this contraption. I normally take her outside to go to the bathroom, but was looking for something to go on our apartment patio for when it was really cold :), and was dark outside, as sometimes I feel it's dangerous to walk her out at night. I was a bit concerned she would get confused using both this "relief system" and going outside, but she learned instantly, and it has not caused an issue at all. When I first put the system on the patio, she smelled it but did not know what to do with it and seemed uninterested in it. I decided to try it again when I knew she would need to potty, so I took her out to the patio with the relief system first thing in the morning straight from her crate. I told her to "go potty" (I have taught her those words in our outdoor training), and she looked around (with a look of where?), but then went over to the fake grass and went. She then danced around for #2 as if she didn't want to use the system, but I kept repeating the words "go potty", and then she then did her business on it. I gave her a treat, and since then, she now knows she is to go potty on the mat. I will say that at 24 pounds, she doesn't take up the whole grass pad, but I can't imagine a much bigger dog trying to fit. I can not comment on new puppies training on the mat, but for an already potty trained dog, it was not an issue for us in either training or confusion with real grass. As for the system itself, I found the grass itself to be pretty flimsy. It stays in place, but even taking it out of the box, one corner is already flipping up. I assume within a short period of time, I will be replacing it, but may do what others have said and just buy fake turf from the home supply store. The actual plastic pieces are thick and sturdy and well made. The plastic tray slides out smoothly (not wobbly or jerky), which is good, because I didn't have any issues with pee sloshing. While she isn't using the relief system exclusively, I don't want the smell to get out of control, so we go about 3 days, I empty the pee out. It's a deep large holder, so for my dog, it barely covers the bottom in 3 days. I take a tumbler of soapy water (like dish soap), lift the green turf, and pour it onto the grid of the system, letting it run into the tray and move it around a bit to clean it and dump it out too. I just pick up the poo and flush it. It's been super easy to clean. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it, with the exception of wishing for a thicker turf grass.

amazing. shopped around and did my research on potty training pads for puppies. Grass immitation turfs are the EASIEST way to train your pup! They instincitively know that they should do their business there, much easier to clean up and cost efficient than white sheet pads. This was by far the most luxurious; high quality and most affordable. I love that there is a tray underneath that collects the pee for you. Other grass potty turfs dont have the tray to collect excess pee so the puppy ended up leaving pee marks everywhere, thankfully this unique designs take away that issue! No pee leakage either like the previous one we bought from petcoPERFECT size. Big enough for puppy to be comfortable with re-using and still easy to place anywhereThe grass turf is also much thicker and plush, making it wasier to clean up puppy's no 2's.
