I had one of these blankets that I had bought seven years ago and I am absolutely obsessed then I was gifted one from Ralph Lauren and it is so flat and disgusting. It’s terrible. I always know the difference right away when my husband changes them out so now I’m buying my second one and I threw out the R.LI loved it so much. I needed an exact second before they stopped making it so when one’s dirty, I can have a clean one and switch them out. Best blanket I’ve ever had because it’s great for winter and summer. Nice n cooling in summer with ac the material gets cold ….. obsessedddd anyone talking crap probably works for a competitor. I’m guessing because it’s beyond great

Bought one about 5 years ago, that is actually still OK, but just stained due to our dogs sleeping with us. The new one maintains the same high quality with great heat retention for the winter, but breathable that it is comfortable in summer (and I live in Florida).Manufacturer recommends dry cleaning - who can afford that??? Might as well buy a new one. We throw it in the washer and dryer and it does great. Great product.

I never write reviews but had to make the effort for this product. I love goose down comforters and I have had several- and none of them ever felt like the ones you see at upper scale hotels. This one does!! It feels like sleeping in a cloud, as other reviewers have said. It is fluffy and lightweight, but not too thin and not too thick and heavy- just right for New England winters. I keep my bedroom at about 66° at night . With my other down comforters I tended to get hot in the middle of the night and kick off the comforter because they feel too heavy, then I end up waking up freezing. This one is perfect and exactly what Ive been looking for. So comfortable! No feathers poking, no weird smell… Just perfect. And very reasonably priced. Make sure you put it in the dryer for about 15 minutes with a tennis ball or dryer ball to fluff it up. It does say it’s dry clean only, but just get a nice duvet cover to put over it and that solves that! I plan on ordering another.

I have been looking for the perfect down comforter for a long time and the ones I have been eyeing at bed bath and beyond were so expensive. Thought I would give this one a try after researching for months. This one is perfect it’s fluffy, warm but not too hot or heavy. It’s light weight and I love how crisp it is. I of course use a duvet cover too to preserve it and for looks. I love how the feathers don’t shed or shift. Worth every penny. I hope it holds up as it has for a long time. Great purchase and more affordable than $500 from bed bath and beyond.

Fantastic duvet! The feathers stay in place with no flyaways, and it keeps us super warm. We absolutely love it. Just be patient, as it takes a day or two to fully fluff up. I've washed it in the machine and dried it outside with no problems. We've had it for four years now, and it’s still the best duvet we've ever owned!

Excellent buy for the money. Love this comforter. I have had this comforter for four years now. Every day I love it more. It is the fluffiest, puffiest, most wonderful comforter I have ever owned. I do not lose down from this comforter. There is no smell. It fits perfectly into both of the duvet covers I purchased. While there are no loops to fasten into the duvet cover, I find they are not necessary. The comforter does not shift any more than a pillow does in a pillow case. I shake it and fluff it every morning and it sits beautifully on the bed. It is so inviting! I have bought several 100% cotton duvet covers over the years for this comforter, I find it allows the comforter to breathe properly. My two grandsons love this comforter. That says something when two little boy's comment on a comforter! You will not regret this purchase! I don't! I would definitely purchase again! SO WORTH EVERY PENNY!UPDATE! Yes, there are loops to fasten the duvet cover to this comforter. I just didn’t see them as they blended in with the piping around this very well made comforter. So it’s 2023 and my beautiful, light, puffy, extremely well made comforter is still just like new. I always keep it covered with a cotton duvet cover, and wash the cover weekly. In between duvet cover washes I will pop the comforter into the dryer with a tube of tennis balls, a dryer sheet and put it on the cool air setting for 30 minutes. When I take it out, the down is puffed, light and full of air. It’s then ready to go back into the soft clean duvet cover. Three times a year, this comforter washes up nicely in a large commercial washer and dryer. I do not recommend using your washer and dryer at home for cleaning especially with the California king size. This comforter is a valuable investment. I use this comforter all year round. In the summer time I keep my air conditioning at 63 degrees. We love to snuggle down deep in bed with this fluffy, soft blanket on top. Because it’s full of light, lofty down, that breathes. This feature provided by nature allows the air to circulate while removing excess heat keeping us comfortable and covered all night. On the other hand, in the winter we stay so toasty and warm. The circulating air, as the down breathes, keeps us snuggly warm but never too warm. In this way you can stay in dreamland comfortably all night long. You will never wake up sweaty! Go on, buy it. You won’t regret it. Surround yourself with the finer things in life.

At first I was surprised how small the duvet was when it arrived in its packaging. However after fluffing it up the duvet has proved to be extremely warm, sometimes almost too warm! I thought it seemed a bit thin, but it feels fantastic inside its duvet cover, I love it!

I can't see any reason why I would pay 3x the price for the same thing at local retailers. After upgrading to a king bed we needed a new comforter. The costs of a new house and everything goes along with it makes for a tight budget.Looking at this comforter on amazon, my wife and I kept thinking it must be "too good to be true" and hesitated a long time while we waited for local sales. Local "sales" would come and similar products were still 2-3x more than this for equivalent specs.Finally, we took the plunge and fully expected to be returning this after disappointment. Well, to our surprise it is as good as any store bought down comforter. After opening and giving it some time to "poof" we climbed into bed and found this thing perfect. My wife even stopped using our electric blanket, she is warm enough just with this comforter.I will say if you have a king bed go for the cali size, as this one is just barely big enough for our standard king.

I ordered the Cal King Size with advertised dimensions of 106" x 90"When the comforter arrived and I unpacked it ( it's crammed in pretty tight so if you do buy, unpack and let it 'fill up' for a couple days) I could tell it was nowhere near the size advertised, plus it was very heavy. The actual measurements are app 102' x 84". Granted, any comforter measurements are for material only, excluding filling, and a lot has to do with the quality of the down used but this was extreme compared to others I've purchased.Also, there is no such thing as 'Siberian Goose Down" (The Siberian Goose is an endangered species that looks like a puffin) and the product is made in China so I returned it.Royal Hotel was very good about it and honestly, compared to a lot of other comforters, for the money, this one is okay just keep the size issue in mind. Hence 3 stars.

I was skeptical about ordering a down comforter on line, but after searching in every high end store I could find and gasping at the prices I decided to give it a shot. This comforter is EXACTLY what the reviews stated; it is high quality, super dense, incredibly well made and so soft I actually sigh when I get into bed every single night. It is true that when it is first delivered and you remove it from the shipping box that it looks disappointing in that it is very compressed and flat. I just laid it over the bed in the guest bedroom and left it for two days, and every single day it got fluffier and fuller and expanded. It is beautifully sewn and each "square pocket" holds its down perfectly. It is so light, but very warm. I didn't think it would be enough for the freezing CT winter, but it absolutely is and all I have under it is a top sheet. I chose not to put my comforter in a duvet because I didn't want to hide the soft, billowy look of the crisp white and it is holding up beautifully. I highly recommend this company and this particular comforter. It is ridiculously delicious. I will be ordering another one of the exact same kind should I ever have to replace it. LOVE.
