Although the brand is quality, and the mousse seems safe, smells nice, and all that. It just made my cat's fur feel sticky and wet. In fact, I use this on my own hair now as a styling mousse, because of how it keeps my hair in place. I wouldn't recommend it for pets unless you're looking to style their fur and keep it stuck in a certain way.

Used this leave-on mousse on my senior British shorthair cat because he likes to groom himself afterwards, so I didn’t want him ingesting anything harmful. He normally likes being groomed and brushed, so he doesn’t mind this “low-stress" mousse. I like to dampen his coat first every time he gets brushed so his cotton-like fur doesn’t fly everywhere, so I pump the mousse onto a pet wipe and then rub it all over my cat and then brush his coat out. It's quite a large bottle at 10 fluid ounces and should last for many uses or for multiple cats.It also didn’t irritate his skin, and his fur looks cleaner and fluffier than before. The only drawback is the scent, which is just okay. The label says it’s “summertime coco” and vanilla, but it smells kind of like bananas to me, which isn’t my favorite, but the smell does eventually dissipate and leaves a perfumey (but light) coco scent the following day. However, if I use too much, it does leave a bit of a waxy finish on the coat.

I'm really happy with this cat Mousse! My cat, who typically hates bath time, tolerates this mousse remarkably well. The lightweight, airy texture is easy to apply, and the leave-on formula eliminates the need for rinsing, which is a huge plus. It makes grooming sessions quick and painless for both of us.The gentle scent is nice. It's subtle and pleasant, not overpowering like some other pet products. I've noticed a significant improvement in my cat's coat. It feels softer, shinier, and healthier. The mousse seems to effectively refresh her fur between baths, keeping her looking and feeling clean.I appreciate that the formula is designed to be gentle on sensitive skin, and I haven't observed any irritation or adverse reactions. All in all, I highly recommend it to any cat owner looking for a safe, effective, and stress-free grooming solution!

I have two kitties, one of these tolerated the application of this and the other said "uh uh, no way" (but then she's pretty skittish by nature anyway). It smelled really nice (almond-y?) and her fur absorbed it well (with a little rubbing/petting on my part). I didn't overdo it because cats don't like unfamiliar products and scents, but she seemed to not have any problems and sat patiently during her "spa treatment". I also used a soft towel when I was done to help with the absorption. I wish this was around when I had my elderly incontinent 'grandpa' kitty; it would have been perfect. But it sure beats trying to give a cat a bath!

Awful smell. I opened the container to smell it first as I am sensitive to smells. This is awful. I would hate to put it on my cats and have them smell like this. Who knows what they are licking off when self cleaning. I tossed it into the trash. It smelled like bad old lady perfume. You know the one in the grocery store that you can smell from 2 isles over.

My 18 year old cat has stopped grooming himself. He has always had long, luxurious silky fur and now he looks ratty, matted and dirty if I don't do it for him. The change is just crazy.Anyway, I try to brush him a bit every night, I've started using grooming wipes to keep him clean when things get stuck to his bottom and we bath him every month or so. However, the baths are very stressful for him, so I was really happy to see this DOUXO Leave-on Mousse for Cats.I've used DOUXO dog shampoos and conditioners and liked those and think this is a good brand and one that I trust. I tried the mousse today and my cat actually loved the extra rubbing that came with applying the mousse. It's simple to use, has a nice, not too strong scent and does seem like a refresh.I've left the bottle near his bed and will try using it a few times per week when I go to give him his evening medication. It's always challenging to me to use new products regularly so having it where I will use it may help me to incorporate it into his evening brushing/grooming.

This review is for the DOUXO leave-on mousse for cats. I like that this is an option for freshening up my sometimes stinky kitty without using water. Sometimes I don’t want to do a full bath for him but he gets into something or he smells from the litter box and I can give him a little refresh. The mousse is easy to dispense and stays foamy until you rub it in. It’s not strongly scented. Neither of my cats minded me applying this to them. Neither of them seemed to want to immediately try to lick it off, either, so it was able to just dry down naturally.

We honestly did not expect much from this and thought our cats were going to be angry at us for using it, especially since it's scented. We have older cats and one of them has a hard time cleaning herself, so we brush her fur and usually use wipes to clean it. She gets dry skin, so we need something to take away the dander and also moisturize her skin without making her fur oily. This shampoo helps hydrate the cats skin and make their fur soft and shiny, and it's scented. The scent is a gentle vanilla scent so it's not too much, and our cats don't mind it at all. They were purring as soon as we put it on them. You pump the mousse into your hands, and rub it into their coat down to their skin. We did this and our cats loved it and were so happy. We brushed their fur after, and the mousse dried right away. Their fur is nice and shiny and clean, and looks much better. This is a great product and we were shocked at how well it works.
