Just installed this as the cheap off brand China made one lasted 6 months and threw a code right before inspection timeSo far this one is working and check engine light hasn't come back on!

This fit great without the need for an additional wiring harness require for the AD Delco brand or other aftermarket products. I was getting P0442 error codes that would come right back if the code was reset, indicating a small emission leak. I started troubleshooting this issue and after replacing the gas cap with no change I tried replacing the vent solenoid. I Built a lot of leak tester's for the Machine Tool industry and know everything leaks. It just made sense to try this first after the gas cap. It worked like a charm and the fault hasn't came back. Very Happy with this product. Thanks Dorman!!!

This was an EXACT replacement for the canister vent solenoid on my 05 Equinox and fixed the problem of not being able to add gas to the tank without the nozzle cutting off after about half a cup of gas going into the tank. To test the fix I went to the gas station and filled up the tank with no problem. An excellent part at a remarkable price. The local garage wanted $350 for this fix and it took about ten minutes to change out. What a deal.

Does what it says,but make sure you actually need it before you buy it.My SUV was throwing a P0449 code and this (or a gas cap) is the item that usually corrects it. Without checking my existing one, I went ahead and bought the item.Turns out my solenoid was fine and the actual problem was the wiring above the stabilizer bar. Over time it just rubbed through the sheathing (Great location GM - Simply Great!).Anyway if yours is throwing a code of P0449. Make sure your wiring isn't the issue before buying this. No fault of the product, hence the 5 stars.. but thought it would be worth putting my experience here for others
