For the price, it isn’t worth it. I’m exceptionally disappointed in this product because it worked for about a week and now it’s just there…not functioning as a check valve. Mine didn’t leak but I used the gas rated teflon tape. The instructions left a lot to be desired in terms of how to actually assemble it. I’ll remove it and throw it in the trash can before it starts to leak gas and burns my truck to the ground.

This works well where you need a check valve, I recommend.

Easy install if you ignore the instructions and know what you are doing. Installed on a Trailblazer that kept having pressure bleed off issues with two Delphi pumps. Finally pulled the trigger on this solution and it is working great.Added some thread sealant and encased it with shrink wrap and tape while also bolting it to the undercarriage to prevent separation or becoming loose from vibration. Here's to hoping for a long term solution 🤞

Works great, once you figure out that you must use the nylon bushings for the hose barbs.

Much better than the 4 for $6 variety found on another site. Those revert to "Two Way" bi directional valves when used with gasoline

Installed this in the fuel line just before the fuel filter coming from tank on my 2004 ford explorer limited 4.6 v8. The Truck was hard to start and eventually wouldn’t start at all with out spraying starter fluid in the intake. I was planning on replacing the fuel pump. I was not looking forward to that job because I would have to drop the fuel tank. So I did a lot of research on the internet and found that this fuel check valve could resolve my problem without replacing the pump. The check valve keeps up the fuel pressure and keeps fuel from draining back into tank. My fuel line was a nylon with rubber coating. To install valve I had to remove the rubber coating from line so I could slip on the nut and plastic compression fitting directly on the nylon line. Once I installed the check valve the vehicle started right up. I double checked for and leaks and everything was good to go. Saved me hundreds of dollars and lots of time and frustration.Thank you Doorman!!

1. Install at the closest point possible to the fuel pump outlet to Carburetor.2. Buy two extra brass compression fittings (3/8"). Glad I did pull the trigger and spent the 30 cents, dropped one and let it roll away.3. Use 16 mm or 5/8" line fitting wrenches/crowsfoot on both brass compression caps, tighten evenly seated tubes.4. Start run 15 seconds, check for leaks ( including entire fuel supply system ). No leaks great, recheck after one minute run time.5. No leaks still then test drive and recheck for leaks, still no leaks verify Hard Start is no longer an issue! Two weeks later problem completely Solved!

Poor design will not seal properly. The body is aluminum and seems to loosen up. My experience with dorman parts is poor at best. It will work if you can get it not to leak.UPDATE. I eventually was able to get this part to stop leaking after I sprayed the threads with anaerobic primer, let it dry, applied loctite and reassembled the valve. I allowed it to fully dry before reinstalling and exposing it to diesel fuel. It has been sealed for a few months now. It is still my belief that everything dorman makes is junk.Another note about the aluminum used in this part, if you live anywhere where the roads are salted in the winter and your vehicle is regularly driven in the winter months, be aware that any kind of light aluminum parts such as AN fittings, etc. for your fuel system will corrode over a few years and eventually fail.
