Not impressed at all. These things are a pain to install and I was hoping that by replacing with brand name part longevity might have been better. There is a nice big crack at the bottom of this now and it's making all kinds of noise.

One of the heat shield bolt holes wasn't drilled in the correct location. I just used my old heat shield which was ok. Also the nuts were a little larger (I think they were 15mm where the OEM nuts are 14mm). Studs aren't included with this kit. Next time I'll order one that includes the studs since those get pretty beat up from the force required to remove them.

30k mile update: FAILED. Cracked in 3 places.Worse than OE one which lasted 200,000 miles.Original review: Installed this on a 2000 Nissan Frontier V6. The Dorman exhaust manifold was much thicker than the original manifold. This is a good thing, since the original one didn't hold up (mine was cracked completely in half). My problem is that since the exhaust manifold it thicker, it collided with one of the bolt holding the power steering pump to it's respective mounting bracket when I tried to install it (I couldn't removed the studs from the engine block. If I could have, it would have been fine). It was easier for me to just file a notch into the manifold than to remove the power steering pump bolt or the exhaust studs sticking out from the engine (see 2nd picture with notch filed into side of maifold).Using a round file, I made a notch in the manifold and then it slid right into place.The gaskets appear to be good quality, and overall, the product works well (have been driving on it for a week now and the truck is MUCH quieter and doesn't smell bad anymore).

manifold arrived in good shape and had all the parts but one of the brackets for the heat shield had a crack in the casting. Aggravating but not a big deal. When I tried to install it in my Xterra, the gasket fit perfectly, the mediocre casting of the manifold did not fit so well. I had to grind almost a quarter of an inch off one end to get clearance and install. The milled places for the bolts to seat were not milled at the correct angle and caused some trouble when I tried to tighten the bolts. I made it work and it can be used but this is a very poorly made part to be called direct fit replacement. I was in a time crunch and made it work but I won't order this again when it fails and I expect it will.

I am not impressed. The casting does not look good. Looks worse than the OEM. If you're replacing these then you know where they crack and if you look at these castings you can see that they won't last very long either.

Manifold itself fits fine but heat shield never fit properly

Product was good. Well worth the price and might be better than the original. Only problem I had was that the Heat shield have issues. You have to cut a piece off and bend it a little for the screw holes to line up. Other than that, we shall see if it holds up better than the Nissan original. I would have gave all 5 stars if it was not for me having to rework the heat shield.
