The "Ford" hold down does not work for my Ford Fusion as my battery was still loose. This GM hold down secures my battery on my Ford Fusion as the hole for the bolt is slotted. Guess GM designed something right for a change.

On any vehicle, this is probably the most low tech part. It fits, it works. What else is there?

Bought an 85 Trans Am that had the battery held down with a bungee cord. No joke. Was thrilled to see I could buy one of these (a pair actually) for so cheap. The metric bolt I needed to fasten it down cost almost as much! Works great and gives me a much more secure feeling than an old bungee cord to keep my battery in its place.Sigh... its amazing what some people do to their cars. A bungee cord?!

I liked that I could check to see if it fit my application. I prefer the factory hold downs over the universal fit hold downs. It was also the cheapest price I had found. I called around to my local parts stores and the prices they quoted me were more than double this price. As with one of the other purchasers, mine also came with two in the box.
