Using a torque wrench, most bolts went in ok. However, out of 16 bolts there were 3 or 4 that failed on install - before reaching proper torque, the bolts elongated and began to twist. Somehow I caught them before they snapped because you can feel it go from tighter-tighter-tighter-nochange-easier-easier... One was literally holding on by a thread as I removed it again. This is not a matter of threads stripping - literally the bolt is stretching and twisting. I think they were not properly hardened. I re-used my old bolts which were in good condition with no issues. I believe the old bolts were fel-pros.

Why reuse rusty bolts when Dorman has a replacement this cheap? Remember if you run your equipment like I do you will have to remove them again. Most fasteners are meant for one use, will you be able to get the old ones out a 2nd time?
