Your cart is empty.This fixed-height door sill for outswing doors has a wood base with an aluminum slope, making it low-maintenance and without exposed wood. The high dam design restricts water intrusion by utilizing a V-shaped, Kerf-in Foam seal (see product specs) where the bottom of the door meets the threshold. This foam seal eliminates the need for door sweeps or door shoes. The aluminum slope provides superior stability and long-lasting reliability. The sloped aluminum extrusion is grooved to prevent slipping.

Note: There are several variations in the listing, I’m reviewing the aluminum variation.This is a good value for a very high quality exterior (or interior) door threshold that’s very sturdy and well made in a nice silver toned aluminum finish. It’s made to fit 36” thresholds (can be trimmed shorter if needed).The quality is excellent and it’s one of the nicest, heavy duty thresholds I’ve used. It’s pricier than some, but well worth it for the quality and how sturdy and heavy duty it is.It’s made for out-swing style doors vs in-swing. I’m using it on a front door where my storm door swings outward and my main front door swings inward.It does have (see the pictures) an oak core board but it’s wrapped and sealed so it’s not exposed to the weather. It has a seal in the center that meets the edge of the closed door when it’s shut. It’s not a flat threshold but has an angle on each side as you can see in the pictures. It has some ridges built in (see the pictures) to help it be less slippery.Note that no installation instructions are included with it. Also note that no installation hardware is included with it, you’ll need to provide your own installation hardware.Tip: Since no installation template is included with it, you may want to make your own. I used the cardboard carton it came in and traced out a template myself to help with installation. You may need to trim it to fit and the template will help with that. Note that if you need to trim it, it’s pretty thick and sturdy so you’ll need a saw or heavy cutting device vs just metal snips.

This is a nice looking, well functioning threshold. It fits perfectly and seals well.It's a cost effective improvement over the old threshold.I definitely recommend this product.

Great quality that will last a long long time. My garage door has never sealed right. I have tired everything, even pouring concrete and sloping it down. This threshold is a solid price of addition to my door and now I can finally have a decent seal under the door. No more water for me. Great product, good material. Very heavy duty.
