My 85-year old father has dementia and lives with us. He's not usually a wanderer, but these door alarms were added as an extra level of protection. They are easy to install, customizable, and quite loud. And they have already saved Dad's life once. On a hot summer day when I was working from home and he tried to take the trash out, he went the wrong way and was wandering through the back yard. Had it not been for the alarm on the door, I would never have known he was outside and getting very confused in 100 degree heat.This inexpensive little device saved him from heat stroke or worse. It makes me jump every time I open the door, but I KNOW when a door in this house is being opened and it keeps my dad safe. It's worth it's weight in gold, as Dad would say.

Very easy to install. Great value for the price. You can easily hear the alarm when the connection is broken. I feel much safer having it on my door because I’m a deep sleeper.

The installation was super easy. The volume can be low or really loud. And definitely is worth the value. I got this because my mother in law who has Dementia has a habit of going in the fridge and eating out of all the food in there with her hands. Truly, I was more worried about her getting sick from eating cold food that should be warmed up more than anything. Now, when she opens the fridge the alarm blares loud and we are able to make sure she’s not eating the wrong things anymore. Although, she does run to the couch and sits down and tells us she don’t know why the fridge is making that noise 😂. But at least we are able to warm her something up instead and no longer have to worry about her getting sick. She’s at the stage that sometimes she just doesn’t remember she ate breakfast, lunch or dinner. But we are super happy that’s she still wants to eat. Thank you for making this. The second one we needed for the front door because she has walked away three times and we had to get assistance from the police to get her home cause she would be trying to get placed she use to go when she was younger. This is definitely a good security product as well.

I recently purchased a door alarm in the hopes of enhancing the security of my home, but my experience with it has been far from satisfactory. Here are the reasons why I would give this door alarm a negative review:Inconsistent Activation: The primary function of a door alarm is to alert you when someone enters or exits your home. However, this door alarm has been incredibly inconsistent in its activation. It often fails to detect when the door is opened or closed, rendering it unreliable as a security device.False Alarms Galore: On the flip side, when this alarm does decide to work, it frequently triggers false alarms. Something as innocuous as a gust of wind or a slight door movement can set it off, leading to countless unnecessary disturbances. This level of sensitivity is not only annoying but also defeats the purpose of having a door alarm.Inadequate Sound Quality: When the alarm does sound, the quality of the sound is subpar at best. It's often too soft to be heard from a distance or even within the same room. A door alarm should grab your attention and create a sense of urgency, but this one fails miserably in that regard.Unreliable Battery Life: This door alarm is supposed to operate on battery power, but the battery life is abysmal. It seems like I have to replace or recharge the batteries way too frequently, which is not only a hassle but also adds to the ongoing cost of maintaining this alarm.In conclusion, this door alarm has proven to be a frustrating and unreliable addition to my home security system. It neither provides the peace of mind nor the convenience that it should. I would strongly advise against purchasing this particular door alarm and recommend looking for a more reliable and effective alternative.

It works fine. I would change a couple things to make it better. I wish there were two remotes and the alarm would go off for longer than 30 seconds.
