The chain will come out of the decorative pull, after just a couple easy pulls! They look nice, just don't use them, or they break. If they were built with the chain going all the way through, then you could repair if the chain broke or something. Because they are glued on to the chain, there is no good repair, you must simply re-glue whenever someone actually uses it as a "pull".
