These jean shorts are super cute, and they fit great! I usually don’t wear jean shorts because they’re not always flattering on my broad but muscular frame, but these are different—they hug in all the right places without being too tight. For reference, I’m 5’7", 160 lbs, and I got a Large, which fits perfectly. The high waist and frayed hem give them a stylish touch, and the stretch makes them extra comfortable. A great find for summer.

These Dokotoo denim shorts are comfortable. The denim is sturdy but not heavy. They stretch to fit over my curves without gaping at the back of the waist. They are shorter than they look in the pictures- the inseam is only 4" on these shorts. From the picture I was expecting at least 6 inches. They do have that terrible musty smell that is so difficult to wash out. I am on my fourth washing and it's still hanging around, and I'm concerned that the shorts will not last all of the necessary washings. The legs fray a little more with each wash, so the inseam may get even shorter before it's all said and done. I'm kind of to the point now that it's an experiment to see if I can get the smell out, because I was done with these shorts after the second washing. I doubt I'll ever wear them.

I gave them 5 stars because they are made well, and thicker than other denim shorts I have tried from Amazon in the past. Packaging and the tags, everything was high quality, with attention to detail.OK, the fit. Well, before reviewing, after trying them on, I went back, to be fair, and looked at how they looked in the pictures, on the model and I watched the video. The size felt perfect when I first put them on, they weren't tight in the waist, no sign of flab pushed up and over LOL. They were a little big where my leg meets my body in the front, between the pockets and the zipper, but it was not an issue because the length is great, they are not too short, and I thought, perfect, these work!Then I turned around to take a quick look before taking them off. 😮😳 I am 5'5, about 132-134 pounds and although my arms and tummy aren't as firm as I'd like, my butt is the most shapely it's ever been and firm thanks to the DB Method machine 😂, it changed how pants and shorts fit me,. They fit completely different on me compared to 20 years ago and I am 58. These shorts gave me the ugliest flat butt, the back did not hug or curve into my legs, they were huge, where my butt meets my legs. 🤣 I don't know how else to describe it and basically all the issues with the fit are in that area front AND back. I wear a 27 in jeans and probably pushing a size 6, like instead of looking in the 4's section, I'd be checking out the 6's, if I were to go in a store today. So maybe my middle is just getting bigger, and if thaf added to the strange fit, these shorts were not forgiving, not at all. So if that's the case, maybe a size 4 would have been better because it would have sucked it all in. They have a little bit of stretch to them and they are definitely too big, for the way the cut is and on my body. I thought at first, good enough, better than being too small, if they are a little big, just wear an oversized shirt! But the way the butt looked, wide and flat, and frumpy is hard to cover, that's what my head is thinking although in reality no one is going to know, or care, and they would just see a big shirt over cute shorts!So I recommend sizing down, the length is great, they aren't hoochie shorts and now you know in advance, they may look boxy, but you can cover that. Most of us have been working with our shape our whole lives trying to find clothes that look flattering. These are probably perfect for the ones that won't need to overcompensate. They aren't cheaply made, so hopefully you will get the right size and be very happy with them! The back of the leg is also going to work well if you have larger legs or thighs, even so, it's just above that part though. They don't seem to flow with the shape of the body. I keep looking at them and want to talk well about them and the seller, but I can't airbrush how they really looked on me and what I saw after I put them on, or how I felt when I looked at the back, LOL. 🤷‍♀️ I'm not putting that on them, so they get 5 stars!

I am 5'3, 145 lbs and ordered a size 6. They are a little small in the waist, in my opinion so keep that in mind when ordering. But they are super cute, are nice and stretchy and are a good length for someone like me! I especially like the acid wash grey color. I don't own any other shorts like these, so it's a nice change from your typical blue jean short. Will use these a lot this coming summer!

Slipping these on feels like slipping on an old familiar pair of jean shorts. I love the bit of stretch that they have, and the natural torn hem on the bottom is a nice touch. I initially was inclined to take a star off because of fit, but I think the issue is more about me than the shorts. I have a thicker waist, and thin legs (apple shape). I normally am an XL in bottoms... and I fluctuate between a 14 & 16. I opted for the 16 just because I feared shrinkage. I probably could have gone with a 14. There is PLENTY of room in the legs for those of you with lovely thick thighs. It did have this weird fold over/excess fabric in the crotch area which I'm not sure I really like. Again, probably a bit too big or my lack of booty. Fits my waist perfectly! If anything drastically changes once they are washed a few times I will update.

Liked the shorts. The fit is good as I ordered my normal size L (10-12) and they are quite comfortable. I took off 1 star for the frayed hem which gives the shorts a very unfinished look.
