Perhaps I'm just being unrealistic. It seems to me a heat shield ought to survive more than one steak before it starts looking rusty, particularly when it's advertised as being made of stainless steel. That is my basic complaint.It fits my grill and performs its function well. It came in very timely manner. It looked good when I first installed the plates. But after that first BBQ...

This is an exact replacement for my nexgrill. This is a direct replacement for "Deluxe 6-Burner Propane Gas Grill with Searing Side Burner & Rotisserie Kit" that you can buy at Home Depot. Model number #720-0896bx is the one i have but should be the same for for the same model number with the last one or two letters different. That just indicates the finish of the grill and whatever extra options it has. They seem much more durable and heavy duty than the original. The height of these heat spreaders is about 1 inch, maybe an inch and a quarter if you place them on a flat surface and measure the highest part. These come in a pack of 4, so for this grill you will need to purchase two packs as its a six burner grill. I ended up purchasing 3 packs that way i have two complete sets for when they eventually need replacing. Don't know how much other people grill, but we use our grill almost every week and sometimes 3+ times a week. The originals lasted us two years and with these being heavier duty i can see them lasting at least the same if not more, and for the price i think it's a great deal.
