Nice balance and medium fine cutting grade. I would like to see these in other grits. Slightly larger than needle files. Great price for the set, recommended.

As used for fine metal dressing but they are inferior steel not hardened tool steel. Should work on soft metals . not much better than nail files.

These files have nice, rubberized handles that won't hurt your hands when you have a lot of filing to do. They are pretty coarse for a small file. I did order the coarse files but expected them to take off more metal not just be coarse. There are some defects in the files that indicate they were mass produced with not much quality control. The tips on some of the files are misshapen and bent to the side. I wouldn't think it would be that way if the steel was hardened like a quality file would be. I will most likely use these files when I just want to remove metal, not for precision work.

My fault for relying on pictures by themselves vs. converting millimeters to inches to get a more accurate idea of the true size, but these are far smaller than I was anticipating. Just looking at the photos in the listing, I thought they'd be bigger. Can't comment on the handle comfort because my larger-than-average hands SWALLOW the handle up with just my index and middle fingers, and it's roughly "Sharpie marker" diameter (actually, perhaps a bit narrower...close enough though). The grit feels pretty decent...not spectacular, but it'd get the job done. So, I'm not exactly sure what I'll be using these for -- I do know that smoothing out cut edges of up to 2" diameter pipes probably isn't going to be one of them though.Overall I still gave it 4 stars because in fairness, I assume their millimeter measurements are accurate, and it's simply my fault for not taking a second to convert that to units of measures that I better understand. That, and also not reading their description all the way to the end to see where they state these "small files" are good for "precision work". Next time I'll be more careful to not rely so heavily on photos alone, and only reading part of the description.
