nice fast 2x2, doesnt need lubricant unless your going to a competition, i recommend buying cubes from japan and china.

***Edited after seller immediately replaced defective cube. With 18 hours we had a new cube that functions fully and held together fine. First cube must have been a fluke. This cube literally fell apart coming out of the box. We are good with assembling cubes that the screw to put it together will NOT thread at all. Not even one spin before this crumbled into peices. Will return and maybe try another but not sure I want to go through hassel.

Me and my son have fun solving these puzzles. This one feels really solid and has a nice tension to it as your twisting the different layers and blocks. Dropped it once so far and it took no damage! Is as advertised and I would recommend!

This was a really good speed cube and it was fine for a while but then the coloured bits started getting loose and coming out a bit.

I have had 1 2x2x2 Cube before this one. Amazing. Really smooth. Colours are great although Green and Orange are a little too bright for my liking but doesn't change the overall experience of the cube. Would recommend for anyone looking for a speed cube

This puzzle has worked really well. It has good corner cutting and moderate reverse corner cutting. It's a lot of fun to play with. It is also deceptively difficult if you don't have experience with puzzle cubes like the Rubik's cube. It appears easy yet is quite a challenge. However there are included instructions if you want to read them instead of figuring it out.It comes a little greasy, but that is easily fixed with a little wiping down with a cloth.All in all it's great!

My son is an active Cuber with lots of cubes. He says this one is by far the best, which was a surprise to him, as he has many of his own and has also tried out many of his friends' who are also competitive at regional competitions. From my perspective, it arrived well packaged in a nice box, but my son was mostly thrilled because it shaved a few seconds off his average times. Something about "best at cutting corners" (I think that's the way he phrased it) and a perfectly smooth action that lines up just right with each flick of his fingers. Bottom line, if your son or daughter is focused on having a really smooth, well constructed cube that feels great to the touch and stays looking fairly new after thousands of quick solves & timed drops, this one (which my son says was named after some world champion guy) is a really really good one. What else can I say? It's a Rubiks cube. Have fun!

Not sure weather to give it 3 or 4 stars. The cube spins pretty freely and has help up well so far, but it feels cheaply made. It's not perfectly square either. some cubes are slightly larger than others and the inside mechanism that holds it all together is loose or weak. If it was designed as a normal Rubik's cube i doubt this would even spin seeing as some of the cubes are different sizes. Since it's a speed cube the corners are rounded which make spinning it very easy and corrects for the odd shaped cubes.
