They only draw back to this is that it’s air powered and you have to deal with a hose. If that doesn’t bother you this is the most economical way to go - and the crown staples are very secure

Purchased this to replace a failed cheaper nail gun. Dewalt makes a great product which I have a number of these brand name tools. Nailer works great with no issues.

Purchased this stapler to replace another old one that I have that only work when it wants too. I used this Dewalt stapler for the first a few days ago while repairing a shed door using 1 1/4” staples. Worked great and after reading the instructions I discovered that the stapler doesn’t require lubricants. Very satisfied so far.

Bought this for installing 3/8" plywood ceiling, it worked like a dream. The staples are very long so hold fast, but are thin enough that you can barely see them. It saved me time and money so I highly recommend this tool, I'm sure I'll find other uses once I've finished the remaining ceilings.

I ordered this, it was delivered, and I tried to use it. I failed. For those that want all the dirt on these tawdry affairs, the issue was that, having opened the stapler to load it, I assumed it loaded like the manual stapler I had been using recently, and the staples would straddle the support bar and spring that come out the back. Staples will actually fit over it, but do not make it all the way into the tool when trying to close the "magazine" (as the instructions call it). To be fair to myself, DeWalt bears a small part of the blame, in that, having failed my intuited operation of the tool, I actually read the manual. It says that the user opens the magazine, the staples are loaded into the magazine, and then the magazine is closed. The accompanying picture shows the tool, the tool with the magazine opened (but no arrows pointing to the part they mean by "magazine".) So, from what they told me, my process could have been right. I contacted the seller - "This ain't working. What now?" Seller says to send it back on their dime, which I did, and got a timely refund. Being very trusting of DeWalt, I bought another (the first must have been an anomaly!). I open it, try to put the staples in wrong again, and am again confounded. What is going on, I wonder! And another weird thing - the staples come in a group that's too big to all fit over this spring rod. Why didn't they make it so the staple group (cluster? Is there a better technical term for this?) fits exactly into the tool? As I puzzle this, I turn the tool over...and see a gap opened up on the bottom of the tool. Right where the staples would go. And about the size of a staple group. You don't suppose...? Yes, the group drops right into what I now know is the magazine. The tool works perfectly, my project is finished in 30 minutes. Good tool, but know that the magazine is accessed from the bottom of the tool, once the cover plate is slid open.

I like the stapler now I finally figured out how to use it. The part of the instructions where it explains how to load the stapler should be more clear. This is the first time I used a pneumatic stapler and I was trying to load the staples on top of the back piece that pulls out (like my manual stapler). After a re-reading the instructions and still not getting it to work I took out a rolled pin that was blocking the longer staples from going in all the way... two springs shot out and a plastic piece got lost... Eventually I found all the parts and figured out how it was worked then I finally realized that you turn it upside down and load the staples from underneath the stapler. The instructions even have 3 pictures for the loading of the staples but none of them show where to load the staples. Dewalt, I suggest you should get a couple people who have never used this type of tool before to read the instructions and try to use it then you will know if you explained things well enough.Besides my complaint about the instructions I really like this stapler. It has good features and is adjustable. The only thing is that the longest staple it will take is 1.5".
