Great DeWalt drill bit. Before buy it , I read some negative opinions about the tool but I think that is a matter of how they treated their tools and not the quality itself. Like DeWalt tools never have disappointed me, I bought it. I have drilled several walls with different hardness so far and it has worked perfectly.

I bought this because the tapcon drill bit I already had wasn't long enough to go threw the wood and also make holes in the cinderblock. This bit is about 2 inches longer and worked perfectly. I drilled about 15 holes with my hammer drill. I expect the bit to last a lot longer.

The first drill bit wore out after drilling “4” holes in a masonry wall joint. I bought two drill bits in case one wore out before I finished my project. I have several holes to drill in a masonry wall for tapcon screws. These Dewalt bits are a waste of money.

I've used it about 10 times now to drill pilot holes for tapcons into my cinder block walls. Needed the extra length since drywall is on top of the blocks. Works fine.

I had been using the 'free' bits that come along with the large box of masonry screws I would buy at the local Lowe's and dealing with the mediocre performance. After using this bit I will never use the cheap ones again. These bits drill through rock and concrete with ease using my cordless hammer drill. This is one of those satisfying purchases I am happy to have made.
