My power steering had failed. I was told it was the rack and pinion. From the moment this unit was installed the performance hAs been noisy and the steering has been harder than expected. The mechanich thought in might improve with time, but it has steadily gotten worse. I think it was a bad part from the start. 2 years later I'm back in the same boat with another costly repair.

I am very disappointed with the item I received. Neither of the inner tie rod ends are new and one is even damaged. The whole rack is covered in a film of oil and the paint is peeling or rubbing off of all of it. The fluid lines that are part of the rack are not new they look like they have previously been corroded and then painted over. I do not trust putting this item into my vehicle as it is a lot of work that I don't want to have to accomplished again!
