Tie rods were too long for 1997 Honda Civic EX. Tire shop told me I must have ordered the wrong tie rods (I didn't, they're just poor quality) because they wouldn't adjust enough for a wheel alignment. I ended up having to use a band saw to cut 1/2" off of the inner tie rods on each side so that the outers would thread in far enough. On top of that the threads were a little loose. Passenger side blew out in under 6 months anyway. Do NOT buy these tie rods. Spend the extra money on some half decent ones.

I’m very pleased with this product. It fit perfectly in my car. All I have to do now is get the car aligned as the driver’s side one was literally just a tiny smidge longer.

So far so good. Like a dummy, I read the reviews right after I ordered this and I had a slight panic. It had been to long to cancel it but I'm glad I didn't. Every thing looks good so far both tie rods have grease fittings and it has 4 steel tie straps for the boots. At first glance the boots look kind of small but I haven't been under the car yet and I know how deceiving things like that can be. I read a lot of reviews and as usual it's a mix of ups and downs but I'm pretty good with mechanics. I'll turn the wheel to one side to get at the inner tie's and turn the the other way to put the boots on leaving me with the slack in the boot's I'll need so I'm not trying to stretch something so difficult to stretch. When I'm done I'll come back and up date this rating. That may be a couple of weeks.

these are slightly longer than OEM on my 1997 lx sedan. so the "thread counting" method wont work. no real problem. just grab the tape measure and pray you got it right. would love if the boots came with a handful of zip ties just as extra precaution ( they do come with metal bands, that work just fine with no complaints, but a wad of zip ties adds extra assurance). also, would have proudly displayed a manufacturers sticker had they supplied one!
