The boots are too small and must be soaked in hot water and oiled up to fit - too much trouble. Impossible to install when there are parts missing. The inner tie rods were missing and were to be shipped (again) yesterday - they were not. Still not shipped today (Friday) so a 2 day shipping order is now taking 10 days. The inners cost $29 separately and DA only offered $16 to cancel the rest of this order. Two boxes (shipped by DA); one shipping label states 8 items, but only 6 present, and the other containing 6 items only had 4. They refused to provide any compensation for their mistakes. I noticed a "don't care" attitude from all 4 reps. That comes from the top! IF these ever arrive, then I will re-purpose them and cut my losses with Detroit Axle. Ordered new inners from another company and hopefully they will be here tomorrow (shipped by Amazon). STAY AWAY from Detroit Axle!

I ordered an inner and outer tie rod end for my 2005 chevy trailblazer. The inner tie rods on the chevy come installed from the factory with red loctite on the threads, so they will not come off without heat. If your inner tie rod end is stuck, this is why. You'll need to heat up the inner tie rod end with a propane torch to remove the original inner tie rod end. This will deactivate the loctite. I've tried special tools and wrenches, and it'll literally break your tool and bend your wrench. Add a little heat to it, and it'll come off easy, like butter. Then you can install these replacement tie rod ends. Just thought I'd share with you some of the trouble I had so may your repair be easier. As far as the parts go, detroit axle makes some of the best auto parts you can buy. They're well known for making quality parts.

Happy with another Detroit Axel purchase. Saved a ton of money doing it myself with the help of my son. Of course the two little grand kids were there to supervise.

I bought this set for my 2004 GMC Envoy XUV as it was clunking when turning and riding rough. Old inner tie rods were shot and very loose in moving around. Fit perfectly and included everything needed for the inner and outer tie rods. The metal straps for the boots are a bit unique in design without instructions for the typical DIYer, but I was able to improvise with the old straps. Now my Envoy turns and rides so much better.
