Your cart is empty.Delphi's mechanical fuel pumps, which work with older-model carbureted systems, deliver fuel flow to the engine. It sits at the front-lower portion of the motor and the pumps are lever-operated. An internal diaphragm draws fuel from the tank through lines running the length of the vehicle and pushes the fuel into the carburetor.

The pump I received had the lines in the wrong place. It looks like the problem happened when the pump was assembled at the factory. It would have worked fine if I wanted to bend (significantly) and/or cut and splice my metal fuel line.

I wasnt sure if my old one was really going out or not, it still worked, sort of. But i had no idea how much is was lacking, until i hooked up the new one. Holy moly it works alot better.
