We got the 6ft for our 17 year old 5’7 130lb. It is the right size for him. The quality of the bag is really good and the zipper is strong and overlapped with Velcro to make the closure secure. We had a problem with some of the stitching on ours and trust me when they say “100% guaranteed” it’s true! No problems what so ever with product support. You will get your moneys worth on this. The only downside for us was stuffing it, it’s a chore, but once it’s done your good to go. The neck could be a bit longer too, but hey, it’s a dummy. My son’s skills have really improved with having 24h access to physically move through the submissions he is learning.

Overall for the price this is a great practice dummy. I am using it for BJJ. So far I've done various takedowns, grappling techniques and actually a decent amount of chokes. Although the leg and arm length is limited and head is small, I am still able to do many scissor chokes, arm bars, Gi chokes, and drills. I'm new to BJJ but putting a Gi on this dummy really helped me get a feel for it and hand placement for different manipulations.-I stuffed it with old work shirts and towels. Also. I rolled up bed wetting pads that my kid no longer uses these surprisingly are very limb like and are padded so I put them in the arms, legs and spine area. Lastly I reinforced some of the stitching with gorilla tape for added protection.-To add weight I bought zippered canvas cloth makeup bags and filled them with weighted plastic pellets. Which I placed in the hands, head, feet and abdomen region.

We stuffed it full of old cloths and got it weighing close to 60lbs. Which is great for our 55lb wrestler. Seems like it’s made well. I’d imagine if you took your time and stuffed it tighter you could get it to be around 70lbs.

I was so excited to get this dummy to practice Jiu Jitsu at home. It took a month to arrive. Then now after 5 months of maybe 10-15 workouts with it, the seem near the crotch is ripping. It is a Jiu Jitsu dummy how it rip at the seems. I thought this was a quality product but I am really disappointed and there is no option to return or replace it. So that is why it gets 1 Star.

I don't know if I recommend it yet. I gave it a 3. I can change it later. It was a process. Just confusing.I bought the unfilled leather grappling dummy 59" 5 feet tall. Its too short for a 5'4 or taller person.Pros: Its under $100, Its leather, It holds together, Its not heavy once you fill it.Cons: It doesn't stand, its hard to push filling inside, Its a lot of work to fill with only one opening, and the whole process is expense and costs up to $350 (dummy, fill, and pool noodle sticks). My experience:I used poly fill which was $14.77 a bag. Right after I bought it, the price went down on the additional fill I bought to $14.13, and the last additional I purchased it went down to $13.77. Same bags and brand (small, extra loft 46' n 60' and rolled up of 1.14m x 1.53m). Nothing different. All on Amazon. I bought them within a day apart. I have no idea, why it went down. Anyway, You need 14 bags. I used about 3 old cloth blazer coats to fill the head. I never took the poly fill out of the bags except for 2 bags. Which I had to cut up to fit it into the harms. You have to really push and squeeze it in there. I used my door to push the legs against it to push down the poly fill into the feet. It takes about 4 poly fill bags for legs.Recommendations:1. Instead of just scissors use a box cutter or razor blade. I used a razor blade and scissors. It made it faster to cut.2. I ordered pool noodles as a last result to see if I can use it as a skeleton to get it to stand up. I haven't gotten the noodles yet. I want to put two in each leg. One noodle on each side and fill the middle to see if it stands. If doesn't stand I will send it back and get a cheaper dummy that doesn't stand and has the feet. I only purchased this because it is suppose to stand.3. Be careful when you tug and pull to put poly fill or clothes in it because of the other reviews. Mine did not rip but others did. So hold the leather in the right places when you are pulling and tugging so you don't have that issue.4. Put clothes on it such as a Gi or something. I read reviews that said that the hemming opened up. Protect the hemming with putting clothes so you don't have it rip.

The material feels very tough, great, I do not perceive any issues with the quality! Cannot have this ripping. Although, my dummy is probably around 5'6... I bought a 6 foot dummy... Thankfully, DEFY customer service is sorting it out for me. Fast responses.

Great item perfect for takedowns and throws the material is stitched well and thick enough to last a long time . I placed pool noodles inside kinda like a skeleton and wrapped them with old T Shirts then filled it with 3 large bags of cotton stuffing and it came out to right at 20 lbs if you want more weight use more clothes in the legs to get it to stand on its own.
